We had a super comfortable room which was a great size. The staff were really welcoming and always had time to speak when we entered or left the hotel. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast area was never crowded while we were there. The location was quiet and close to the beautiful Yaquina area of outstanding beauty, well worth a visit.
We would definitely be happy to stay here again.

The staff. The view. The restaurant. The cleanliness. The parking. The cleaners. Everything! Thank you. We’ve stayed in lots of hotels and yours was a breath of fresh air. Thank you. Even when I checked in the lovely lady on reception said “Mr Lawrence?” I know there were only 2 more People to check in but still fabulous. She knew the answers to all our questions. The studio unit was well stocked per their list. Forfar is just south of Newport, Oregon. We drove, and the beach views were close by.
We also drove to Lincoln, OR, another 15-minutes north. We really enjoyed this part of OR for the state beaches, lighthouses, easy driver pull-outs for viewing the coast. The staff was very helpful with any questions we had.

The Aquarium is outstanding, The city has many things to see and do. The seafood restaurants serve some of the best food on the west coast. People are friendly and the town is clean and quiet at this time of the year. Local Ocean is THE place for fresh off the boat food!

The turn off from main highway was the only thing that we didn't like about this location. The restaurants and shops were all great in Depot Bay. The beach was absolutely beautiful we were able to watch sunset.

Only surprise was that it was a Thousand Trails campground. Not a problem, just unexpectedly huge. Was that in the original description?
First walk to Lost Creek beach access was a scary 1/10 mile walk along Highway 101. Later I found a service road that led to a driveway right across from the entrance to the Lost Creek parking area. Way less stressful to cross there. I had a fantastic breakfast from Newport Café, enjoyed the Oregon Coast Aquarium, and Abby's Pizza for late lunch. In addition to a very comfy cabin, I appreciated the close-by beach access. I walked for miles, took some good photos, loved it.

The town was quaint with great places to eat, stay, and...visit the ocean. We enjoyed it immensely. We ate at a great Thai restaurant called Lucky Thai Elephant restaurant. Delicious. We had coffee at the Human Bean. Wonderful!!!

This is a great house and could be an amazing rental with minimal effort. Unfortunately, it was not a great visit due to dirty sheets on one bed, non-functioning shower/tub in one bathroom, no pans to use in the oven (plenty of fry pans for stove-top), no cable/satellite TV. I contacted Vacassa immediately via text upon discovering each issue, and they promptly texted me back that they would reach out to the "local team" to correct my situation. There was no contact from local team and no resolution of any issue. I'm pretty easy to please, but all these things added up to an extremely disappointing stay - not to mention it was over the July 4th holiday so the rates were triple the normal rate. I will avoid Vacassa rentals in the future if at all possible. The house is in a great location. We loved Luna Sea Seafood and Seal Rock State Park.

Our Sanderling Cottage was great and the ocean view with amazing beach access couldn’t have been better!

We enjoyed a whale watching excursion at Depoe Bay, and the sand dune buggy ride in Florence. Also enjoyed the Sea Otter Caves. Great fun for our family get away!!
