All the staff are nice. Great location, accessible to all the restaurants and stores. Food is great. I love the entertainment area on the first floor. This is great for kids. We traveled for the soccer tournament so there's a lot of us who stayed at this hotel.

I lived in Yakima while growing up.

I lived in Yakima while growing up. Still have relatives there, so I visit frequently. Always stay at Baymont, and always happy with it. Love being by the river. Plenty of good restaurants. Unless you are really hungry, you need to share a Miner's hamburger--been going to Miners since I was a teenager 70 years ago! Wonderful Mexican food. And, of course, some good steakhouses, including Outback and Texas Roadhouse.

Gasoline prices are much higher in Union Gap and especially the Yakima vicinity. Much higher than throughout the rest of my travels in the Western States of the United States. Those who set the gasoline prices in the Yakima area are definitely greedy.

It was a cute little town and the people were very friendly.

It was a cute little town and the people were very friendly. I really liked the town. I recommend the New York teriyaki restaurant and mugshotz café. The food was awesome and the staff was very friendly and knew what customer service was! That is very rare now days!

Good..there are places to eat close by that could walk to if...

Good..there are places to eat close by that could walk to if needed. We walked to a Safeway as well. Bed was comfy. It was nice to have 2 chairs and a extra table to relax at. Bad..a lot of street people as we walked along in the area. They didn't bother us as we walked by but could be scary for some people.

I have to stay in Union Gap for a month for work. The area is kinda boring not much attactions to do. Yakima is not too far away and they have a minor league baseball team. That's pretty much it!

We came to Yakima with our senior marching band for a parade...

We came to Yakima with our senior marching band for a parade and was happy to see the big crowds and welcoming people. We actually saw gas for $3.89 a gallon. We only spent one night, so we didn't get to see much of Yakima. It seemed like a nice town with equally nice people

We spent very little time in Union Gap.

We spent very little time in Union Gap. Over the years of visiting Yakima, the overall social, economics, education and friendliness of the public is below average. We wound up eating at Minor Burgers. It was convenient and a great childhood memory. The once Giant Burgers are still very big but much smaller, thankfully. For two burgers, 1 fry, ~$4.50 for extra tomato and cheese, free water it was about $33. OMG! For someone who doesn’t eat fast food, it was really tasty. The restaurant was very clean and had just served 4 buses of teenager sport teams, and one new bus while we were there. Clearly they can serve a lot of people and are very friendly.
