Serviced Apartments in Machico

Beautiful location on the island of Madeira. If you want to get away from the city and experience a small village mountain town this is the perfect location. They had a great kitchen, staff provided fresh towels and emptied our trash every day. The fireplace kept us warm in the winter and you are walking distance to the town to try Bola de Cacao. We visited the Farmers Market and they had a small grocery store for items. You will need a car, while the bus does arrive there, you will find it easier to get around the island with a rental. We were greeted by staff and she was able to show us all the features of the apartment. It really does feel like paradise with the mountains, clouds and rainforest like experience.

Manuel was really friendly and gave us loads of great information about Madeira and local area. Place was clean and we could even wash our clothes.

The residence is a part of Vila Porto Mare resort, consist on 3 hotels with beautiful rich gardens and large nice pools. The apartment was very spacious with a lovely terrace and view to the garden, well equipped with all we need in the kitchen and bathroom. Very clean and maintained apartment, daily housekeeping, Strong wi-fi, very large and comfortable beds, quite and calm. 10 of 10 for the apartment. The area od the gardens and pools are really magnificent, both in day and night, you can't stop wandering around and look everywhere. Very nice view of the sea. The staff in reception always very kind, smiley, friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent, rich, tasty, varied and fresh with all that you may ask for breakfast buffet. Good location outside the center of Funchal, close to the beach, the Lido and with many restaurants in the In the immediate vicinity. We used Bolt to travel to the center of Funchal or to close restaurants. There is a big supermarket near the complex and it is very convenient. We had a rented car and there was no problem to find parking place outside the hotel. The only downside is that we had only 4 nights and not more. Next time in Madeira, we surely return to the residence, for more nights. Great place for couples and for families with kids in all ages. Again, the areas of the pools and gardens are amazing. The Residence is really highly recommended place for all its components – The Apartment, The staff, the public area, the pools, gardens, the breakfast, the location and the total maintenance and appearance of the resort.

- we had a great room at 6th Floor with amazing view from balcony!! - we loved to have the combination of using all the pools & comodities of the big Pestana Casino Hotel but at the Same time have a room in the smaller, quieter building - room was cleaned every day!! - public parking space was easily found nearby (cheaper than Casino Parking) - kitchen was very basic, but sufficient (no coffee machine, but we brought our own small Bialetti ;)) - old town is a little walk away, but there are a lot of nice Restaurants and Bars nearby; also close to port where you can Take the ferry to Porto Santo

Staff were really helpful and thoughtful . I had a couple of problems before going , and they were very professional and understanding with a nice personal touch

The place is enormous. 3 floors, literally. So it was an amazing suprise, it is an old building with unique atmosphere. Very very well equiped kitchen, it looked truly cosy and clean. Beds were comfortable and the views from bedrooms and terrace were stunning. And the location is great too, we walked from the building straight to the Carneval on the main Street. One of my best accomodations ever.

Very, very clean. Comfortable bed. The kitchen had everything you need. Wifi worked great. The staff was very welcoming. Has a small supermarket with a cafeteria below.

Nice swimming pool and hot tub on the roof. 20 minute walk from the centre of Funchal or a cheap taxi ride. Stay was made better by one staff member, Noémie. Who was super helpful, informative and supportive when our flight got cancelled and managed to sort out a room for us. She was bubbly and was generally nice to talk to. Would 100% come back.

We could not fault the hotel on anything. So very comfortable with spacious room, clean and super sea views. Great nights sleep and super mattress. Facilities outstanding especially the large indoor heated pools. Breakfast had a superb selection. Would not hesitate in returning when we next come to wonderful Madeira🌴😎Friendly helpful staff 😊
