The hotel is located on the shoreline and has its own small terrace that opens onto the Fowey River and the morning sun. The terrace is popular and guests are social there. A tame and rather well-mannered family of seagulls also lives there, and therefore no food is served on the terrace. The restaurant and the lounge downstairs are cozy and beautifully decorated. They are really necessary when it rains pouring from the sky. The breakfast is rich and delicious and there is something suitable for everyone on the menu. The rooms are also comfortable and quite spacious. Everywhere is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The central location enables quick access to shops and other restaurants and cafes. Fowey also offers a lot of things to see and sports and outdoor activities. Leave the car at home! You don't need it, because the most specific sights and outdoor routes can be reached by boat, bicycle and bus. If necessary, drive your car directly from the NORTH highway to the parking area on the northern edge of the city. Don't drive through the crowded one lane city center for nothing even though your GPS suggests it!

Perfectly formed little beauty, loved the hidden garden. Quiet as facing into the hillside away from bustling Charlestown Harbour. Everything you could possibly need in a small space. A gorgeous small established private garden, along a path and up stone steps away from the property, faced the sun most of the day and into the evening.

Parking was a problem because of the location of the hotel. We didn’t realise that it was located right down on the wharf with little parking available. I would suggest more information is sent out . Loved everything else. Staff was lovely . Locals were very helpful too.

I would give this property 10 stars if I could. It’s the perfect coastal getaway in the centre of Fowey, beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, cosy but spacious and with lovely views too. Check-in was easy, parking was easy and we had everything we needed including a handy pack of local recommendations and info on walks. Communication from Sarah and Neal was very speedy and helpful - and they even left biscuits which we enjoyed greatly. We hope to stay again in the future
