We had a most comfortable stay at the resort! Sabina and Avi have created a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the stay. They are very helpful, friendly and provide you with everything that you might need. They have both great cooking skills and prepared a super nice Christmas dinner for us. We had a wonderful stay at Dune Towers. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they prepared some delicious lunch and dinner for us during our stay. We especially appreciated being allowed to use the facilities for a few extra hours after check-out — a thoughtful gesture that made our experience even better. The building itself is truly unique, with the dune tower design adding a special touch to the atmosphere. Our room was very spacious, spotless, and comfortable. The location is also great — just a short walk from the beach and with a lovely swimming pool on site. While it is a bit remote from other places, we didn’t mind at all. We were happy with the food options provided and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by the beach and pool. All in all, a peaceful and memorable getaway. Highly recommended!

Choosing to stay there during our initial days in Sri Lanka was a wise decision, offering immediate relaxation and peace. The property's well-maintained exterior featured a spacious garden, serene lagoon, and a nearly private beach on the opposite side. Borrowable kayaks added to the experience. The food was a highlight, with every detail considered in its preparation, especially the delicious dinners and breakfasts, along with refreshing smoothie bowls. The attentive staff further enhanced our stay.

Amazing spots, great little local community. The hosts absolutely made it, and the food was wonderful too - they served fabulous breakfasts, dinners and the smoothies were nice too! Perfect spot for some kiting!

We had a great stay as a family with Meryl. The homestay is in a relaxed setting a block from the beach. The rooms are beautifully clean with great little sitting areas outside and a hammock hanging from the trees. We ate great rice and curry every lunch from their restaurant. The highlight however was the kitesurfing lessons from Meryl- he is a fantastic teacher and took us from beginners to being able to be pulled along / standing up! His teaching method is great, he is incredibly patient - and I would recommend him without hesitation - we will be back!!

Absolutely​ adorable little cottages directly on the beach. Simple but very comfortable. I loved hearing the ocean day and night. Large  breakfasts and I loved the fried fish for dinner. Dedicated and attentive staff whether I wanted tea or I needed information or transportation. They have kitesurfing lessons and rent gear as well as arrange for Safaris and other excursions which was hugely convenient. They went above and beyond to make sure I had eveverything I needed. I loved it so much I even stated well quite a few extra days.

- the location is beautiful: restaurant directly on the beach with beautiful sunsets - cabanas were really clean and with a small private garden and backyard where nobody could see in - staff was very kind, friendly and ready to help - the cabanas and all the resort is in the middle of nature: sand & palm trees - for tuktuk drives around or to the lagoon you can always count on “Isuru” (just ask at the reception for his name/number); he is very friendly, helpful and makes good prices :)

Loved the location, massive room with a huge balcony overlooking the ocean. We wake up to the sound of the wild birds and ocean waves bashing on the beach. Good facilities with a big room and extra big bed. Lovely Sunset a around 530 - 6pm Great location for kite surfing, excellent food and super friendly staff, lovely pool, we'll be back soon with our friends. Well done Wellé Wadiya, keep up the great service! Al the best!

My favorite place in Kalpitiya, located right by a beautiful and clean private stretch of beach. The owner is super friendly and helpful, and can organize all kinds of activities for you, including kite surfing lessons. The cabanas are very spacious and got everything you need. At night you hear the ocean, what’s adding to the very calm and relaxing vibe of this place. Very amazing value for money, will definitely come back and stay there again!

Windy is at a great location right on the beach. The staff is super friendly and the food at the restaurant is wonderful. Perfect for kitesurfing right from the beach and both lagoons with flat water are easy to reach. It’s not a five star resort, but it’s excellent value for money with super helpful and friendly staff.

Great hotel. A real treat. Beautiful setting right on the beach. Very attentive friendly staff. Clean, comfortable airy room with an amazing view from the balcony. Extended our stay as it was so perfect. If you fancy a mooch, there are few little bars and beach hotels a short walk along the beach for a beer or juice with sunset!

A relaxed stay at Windy Waves. Right on the beach (great for sunsets) and a short tuk-tuk ride to lagoon kite spots. The staff are friendly and keen to serve any needs. Breakfast included was plentiful and good. The restaurant for other meals offered tasty meals at reasonable prices.
