The property was amazing! It was very quiet and peaceful. The chalet was such a fun spot to stay a few nights, surrounded by a beautiful garden and art made by the owner. You can tell they have put a lot of love and thought into the details and it just feels a little bit magical staying there :) The food was delicious and the hosts were so kind and accomodating. It’s an easy walk to the beach.

Would you like to experience paradise? We did! Eco Aloevera Garden is a place where you may see see the beautiful empty beaches, wonderful sea landscape and such a unique atmospere! Great place to visit out of the tourist season - which we did, March was great choice. The owner and stuff soooo friendly, meeting all the needs. Local meals provided based on our preferences, so delicious! Great clean, cosy little houses in shady garden filled with beautiful palm trees. We just live it all :)

I loved absolutely everything especially how modern this place is, I even extended my stay. Such a good vibe here! Definitely the BEST accommodation in Arugambay! A NEW boutique style accommodation, with beautiful bright private rooms and dorm rooms. Exceptionally CLEAN, spacious, very comfortable beds, lockers and great AC. Private rooms are modern en-suite, whereas the dorm room has spacious modern westernised showers and separate toilets, which you can enter from both inside and outside the dorm room. A new open-air and spacious fully-equipped kitchen with everything such as smoothie blenders, free tea & coffee, fridge, stove etc. Up-top a perfect terrace to chill on/ have a beer, for digital no-nomad work or use this space to do some yoga, even more beautiful at night all lit up, quiet & peaceful. The property is cool, so whether hanging out here on a hot or rainy day, it’s enjoyable! Outdoor shower in the garden to rinse off after a surf. Excellent WIFI throughout, and great shower pressure with moderate water temperature. The open-aired lounge by the kitchen leads onto the garden at the entrance of the property where you can leave your bicycle/ motorbike, just as you see in the photos. The ultimate is having the surfing beach located less than a 1 minute walk from this accommodation, with all the tourist shops & restaurants around. Literally the PERFECT location! You can rent motorbikes/ bicycles from across the road, and both the neighbouring villages are less than a 5 minute cycle in either direction, surrounded by rice paddies and tons of nature & wildlife. You can cycle, ride, take a tuk-tuk or walk to surrounding beaches. Excellent hospitality! The kindest hosts/owner who are there for whatever you need 24 hrs, and the rates are beyond value for money. Come stay here at The Wave Rooms & Hostel, trust me you will be so happy you did! Thank you Rinas for such a wonderful 2 weeks stay. Can’t wait to return :)

A pleasure! My boyfriend and I stayed at Tropicana Hotel for 6 nights, and this is the best decision we have made in our 3 week trip to Sri Lanka. I've never felt so welcome as we did at this hotel, it felt like Jazz and his family opened their home for us. The accommodation is top quality (10/10), however the best part was the warm and good people at the hotel. We even got invited to a home made Sri Lankan dinner, very wholesome and soo good curry! The accommodation is close to city center but the rooms are quiet and withdrawn. Its located right next to the beach and also a super market, which is run by the family. Jazz also organized surf lessons, a safari tour, and affordable transport to the next part of our journey. Absolutely worth a visit :) Thank you Jazz and family!

Whisky Point Resort was absolutely amazing! It was a five star experience from the moment we arrived. The Resort is breathtaking and the privat beach and cabanas are so beautiful and clean. The staff was absolutely exceptional. They were so friendly helpful and professional. We extended the stay because we loved it so much! The Owners are very thoughtful and organise trips for exaple lagoon safari which was great! We are definitely planing on coming again!

The rooms are little shacks by the beach which gives a charming vibe to the hotel as a whole. The inside is not very modern but is clean, with comfortable beds and AC. The staff is very caring, friendly and helpful. The food there is delicious and comes with a nice view. Lastly the hotel provides all kind of services to lift you stay such as laundry services, tuktuk services (if you need to go to arugam bay) or connexions to book surf lessons or a safari tour.

We really loved our stay at Aqua Blue! The hostess and her brother make your stay at Arugum-bay the best!! They do everything to give you a pleasant stay and the brother shows you around in the wildlife. He has the best eyes and made us see so much elephants and crocodiles.
