Large room with balcony, comfortable and very clean. Great staff, welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and able to eat on sunny veranda. Restaurant not open every day but the meal we had on Wednesday night was first class. Menu again had lots of choice and it was amazing food. Compliments to the chef. Private bathing area by the lake, beach towel and bag supplied. E-bikes to hire for day. A great hotel with lots of personal touches to make for a fantastic stay. Highly recommend

The hotel is beautifully located on the eastern shore of Lake Attersee, offering breathtaking views of the lake and mountains. It’s a peaceful and picturesque setting that immediately makes you feel relaxed. The hotel itself is charming, clean, and very well maintained. Our room was comfortable and cozy, and waking up to the stunning natural scenery each morning was a highlight. We especially enjoyed taking early morning walks in the beautiful areas around the hotel — such a peaceful way to start the day. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality really added to the experience. Breakfast was fresh and tasty each morning, with a nice variety of options. We particularly appreciated the freshly baked bread made by the staff, which added a personal touch. Dinner was also very good, offering a great selection of Austrian dishes in a cozy and traditional atmosphere. The location is ideal for exploring the Salzkammergut region, with plenty of activities nearby — from hiking and swimming to visiting nearby towns like Bad Ischl and Gmunden. Overall, we loved every minute of our stay and would absolutely return. Gasthof Steinbichler is a place we’ll remember fondly and will definitely be our first choice next time we’re in the area. Charming hotel, extremely well maintained by the owner family, who take great care of their guests and have trained a team that is equally attentive to service. The location is magnificent, with access to the lake. Spacious room, very comfortable bed, balcony with chairs and table, and perfect bathroom. The dinner was excellent, and the breakfast is truly generous and high-quality. Highly recommended. I hope to have the pleasure of returning one day.
