From the moment we arrived, Daisy, the heart and soul of this place and the rest of the staff welcomed us with a warmth that went far beyond hospitality. Their care and attention to detail made us feel not just accommodated, but genuinely looked after. At times, we’d find ourselves chatting with the other family members and staff, sharing stories, or picking fresh fruit right from the trees in the garden. Each of us had our own cabin, and they were just what we needed spacious , comfortable, and open to the lush surroundings. The sounds of the ocean and the songs of the birds drifted in naturally. We especially loved reading in the hammocks just outside the cabins on the balconies, swaying gently in the afternoon breeze. The location is also perfect, just a stone’s throw from the beach, and close enough to town that we could walk in for lunch or dinner, but far enough that it still felt like a world of its own. Like being in a town away from the town. Our stay at Cabañas Iracas del Mar was more than just a holiday it felt like a journey into the heart of Nuquí’s natural beauty and the deep, quiet generosity of its people. If you’re looking for a place that offers both solitude and connection, peaceful rest and enriching excursions, this is a destination that truly has it all.

TORTUGA BAY Eco Hotel ligger i El Valle, 2,2 km fra Playa El Almejal Strand, og har en have, et privat strandområde og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. We did a tour to Utria National park. My expectation was entering the jungle with a nature guide to look for local animals. Instead we went on a beach tour. So be sure you explaine correctly what you expect to get the right tour. The other morning we went alone on a little path behind the hotel and managed to see a group of monkeys. So there are wild animals around. For the locals they are just so normal, they don't mention them. Among the local birds are also eagles. Same thing, locals won't mention them as special, as the are regularly seen.

Gorgeous location and you were looked after the whole time. It felt like paradise and the staff were incredible and so accommodating. Highly recommend

Breakfast was delicious, gardens were lovely for relaxing after the boat trip, rooms were nice, plenty of bathrooms, clothesline available and handwashing of clothes. The location is quiet and close to town.
