They made me feel like at home, we had nice conversations and it was a great pleasure to stay with them for some days. My room was huge with a big balcony directly above the water - very cool! The location is not in the Flores Island but in San Miguel - so if you search for a calmer non touristic area that's your choice! From Flores it is easy to arrive with a small boat in about 5 mins. Also recommended to book the tour to Tikal etc. and transports with them, they offer for a good price. And it is helpful to know some Spanish as their English is limited (but Julio is learning!) 😊 muchas gracias 🥰

Umberto & his wife are really friendly , welcoming & helpful. They made our stay very enjoyable & comfortable. The beds are great & the outdoor shared kitchen & dining area are good for preparing meals. I would recommend staying here.

Zapote Tree Inn is located less than 16 minutes from Flores' airport and 4 minutes away from Flores island by boat, located at a privileged point to appreciate sunsets and sunrises overlooking the island and the lake.

We are within 8 minutes walking distance of the archeological excavations of Tayasal and 15 minutes walking on shady trails to the beach El Chechenal. The Guatemalan man who works there is incredible. I wish I had caught his name. He was so nice and helpful during our short stay there. A very peaceful hotel with views of the water and a lush garden. I didn't see any toucans but my partner saw one perched next to one of the rooms in the morning. We had the traditional dinner with eggs, fried plantains, beans, cheese, toast and fruit- it was delicious! We had the same for breakfast and it was the perfect meal to get us through Tikal. The prices for the room and the food was all reasonable. There is an extra charge to use AC but that's across the board in the area. Highly recommend!
