Wai Resort - Raja Ampat ligger i Pulau Birie og har en have, privat strandområde, en terrasse og restaurant. This resort is exceptional. Of course it’s more money than the usual homestay however, the value is there. The entire resort is extremely well managed, maintained and is staffed with very professional employees. The beach hut is spacious, well laid out and steps away from the Wai reef. My son and I swam with turtles, stingrays, cuttlefish and thousands of other fish! We enjoyed getting to know Siti and Hana. They served our delicious meals everyday. They are friendly and cheerful, will know your name from the start. When I booked this resort, the owner/manager was responsive right away and throughout. The resident manager Restu is excellent also. I have food allergies and they accommodated me without issues. Restu coordinated our pick up from a different homestay an hour away and our drop off back to Sorong after our stay. The transportation was punctual and professional. If you love sunsets, sunrises and the night sky - you will get your fill here. They are seen very well from the main dock.

This is by far the best accomodation we've been in the area. Resort style facilities without the high resort price tag or crowd. It's more expensive than a homestay but the price difference is definitely worth it if you want comfort or a beautiful accomodation. We stayed in the overwater villa and it was great, very clean, wifi, electricity, felt just like being in a 4 star hotel. Staff is very friendly, excursions great and they are very helpful with anything that you need. Reef is amazing (lots of fish, turtles, moray and occasional black tips and white tips), overall a 10 out of 10 experience.

We all sat together every night and talked about our days, our dives, and future plans. I made lifelong friendships. The dive center is everything I wanted, small groups, lots of dive sites.

Paparisa Homestay er kun for voksne og ligger i Kri. Her er en have, et privat strandområde og en terrasse. Gæsterne kan nyde havudsigten. Det private badeværelse har bruser. Words can't describe how amazing the experience was. Paparisa is a brand new, small, private and secluded homestay with the nicest houses in Kri Island by far (compared to all the other homestays). The place has five "resort level" cosy houses with ensuite semi-open air bathroom (rare in Raja Ampat), big nice comfortable beds with mosquito net, a small private terrace in each house to relax or to watch the sunset and a small restaurant to enjoy your meals (they are building a nice sunset view big restaurant which they said will be ready by September 2025). They provide towels, toilet paper and linen so no need to bring yours. They have some toiletries but better bring some extra shampoo and shower gel for your convenience. Electricity is available almost half of the day and it is more than enough to charge anything in your room! The sea is just three meters from your door so you can easily swim whenever you want. This is also very convenient for diving or excursion's pickups as the boats pick you up straight from your door to go for diving or for a trip! Also, in walking distance you can snorkel in very amazing home reefs on your own. Paparisa rents for a small amount of money snorkeling equipment and these guys can also arrange several snorkeling trips to anywhere in the area. They also have contacts around so don't hesitate to ask them for anything you need! The communication before arrival through WhatsApp was exceptional and they have helped us a lot with our planning (the boat from Waisai to Kri arranged by them and a lot more). The food in the place is very tasty and feels like home and they are willing to cater any special dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan etc).

We love everything about Mares Homestay!!!! The location is peaceful and close to amazing spots. The room was new and with all the necessary, comfy bed, extra mattress for the terrace, hammock, sun bed, to hung all the wet clothes, tables, chair, mosquito net… The bathrooms were always clean, both with shower. You can find a little village 5 minutes walking where everyone is friendly. They super welcome us, we were lucky and dance with them traditional Papuan music. So much fun!! 🤩 The food was plenty and delicious, we had special meal for Christmas!! They separated the portions and cook different plates every time. Apart from breakfast, lunch and dinner they will bring cakes at afternoon. Water, tea & coffee all day. Electricity from 6 pm to 6 am. But the best about Mares is Luky, the owner and his beautiful family. Everyone is happy and friendly. We love to meet them. Luky is a super host and he speak really good English. Don’t miss his tours! We snorkel 🤿 with at least 10 mantas!!! And we were there alone! We saw the eagle ray, the Wobbegong shark 🦈 and beautiful corals. We explore Pyanemo, Melissa’s garden, Rufas súper relax… At night we really enjoy the ride to other island to meet the Coconut 🥥 crabs 🦀 Also he is an amazing boat driver! He took us safe and pick up on time. Communication was smooth during months on WhatsApp! We found a friend in Raja Ampat! Hopefully we can come back soon!!! We were lucky because “Luky” is very lucky 🍀 maybe because he is always happy!!!! 😃 We love his energy!!

Raja Ampat Family Guest House ligger i Saonek og har en have og en terrasse. Dette overnatningssted med aircondition ligger 2,7 km fra Pantai Waisai Torang Cinta Strand. Pedro and his family were very lovely and helpful! The room was comfortable, A/C worked great, no "hot" showers but with the outside temperature the "cold" water was so warm anyway that you don't need "hot" water. We didn't realize when booking that the family not only provides breakfast (which was delicious and filling) but also dinner! They catered for vegetarians and made us a vegetarian dinner which was lovely. The views from the deck outside the room are great, perfect place for an evening beer or a game of cards, or just relaxing and reading a book. They have a little fridge where you can store some drinks or snacks, or you can buy beers from them if you'd prefer! The location is a bit out of the way from the main area of town, but they rent scooters if you want to get around, or it's easy to organize an ojek (moto taxi) to get where ever you need to be. There's also a convenience store a short 10-15 minute walk down the hill.

I had an amazing stay at Efenli Arnes Homestay - the location is beautiful, and the staff is so helpful and kind. The reef right outside the homestay was great for snorkeling, and Arnes also took us on a snorkeling tour to Cape Kri and Friwen Wall which were amazing spots. It is a warm and convivial atmosphere with other travelers, I wish I had stayed longer!
