A bicycle rental service and a private beach area are provided at Painkiller Hiriketiya. The location was perfect, very close to the beach, shops, restaurants and more. The breakfast made by the owner and his family was stellar as well. It was one of the best ones we have eaten in Sri Lanka. It is optional though, so you can opt out, but you would be missing out!! We met some great people as well during breakfast, which gave a bit of a homely feeling, this was perfect. The room was super clean, the airconditioning cold, and the stay was just about perfect. We miss it already!

Excellent location and easy to find. I think the host must have been a traveller himself, as there was a lot of attention given to small (but important) details such as sockets by the bedside, racks to dry towels and store your stuff, tea, water, toiletries and some tasteful decorations that really made this place feel more like home rather than just a "place to stay". (Ps - none of these are a given everywhere in Sri Lanka). The host was also kind enough to let us stay past the checkout time, as one of our friends wasn't feeling well. Overall - Excellent value for money, would have stayed longer if I could.
