It is very peaceful with the most beautiful sunsets on the island and a great and affordable bar just next door - take a walk on the beach. It is a simple accommodation with all the basics you need. If you love nature, camping and being surrounded by animals - this is the place for you. We especially loved Moka, the dog who will follow you around and provide loads of protection. The staff were so helpful, the breakfasts were delicious and very reasonably priced. It was so affordable! I highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

I had a wonderful experience in this hostel, Daniela and Lubosh(Tony) make you feel amazing, her coffee is the best and the food is amazing, sunsets there are really nice! I loved the peace in this place!

This place is something really special. Victor and Delfi made us feel so welcome in their little green paradise. The facilities are very nice, everything is made out of Bamboo and the food cooked by Delfi is fresh and sooo tasty. You shouldn't miss this place If you are looking for a relaxed time on the Island. It is close to the starting point of the waterfall hike.

Rocks Beach is gelegen in Balgue, op 12 km van vulkaan Maderas, en biedt gratis WiFi, gratis privéparkeren en uitzicht op het meer. A magical spot with rooms facing the lake. The accommodation is by the lake. Wonderful to just hang out during the day on the front porch or relax in a hammock. There is a shared kitchen for cooking. Owner is very friendly and helpful.

Hostal Así es mi Tierra ligt in Balgue, op 12 km van vulkaan Maderas, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een terras. We loved the relaxed vibe and how everything is set up and decorated, it's really really beautiful and we enjoyed just sitting around on our porch immensely! the location is great as it's away from the crazy hostel stuff but not too far with tons of great local places near by. Getting to all parts of the island from Balgue was ideal as well and everywhere you turn you see one of the volcanoes since you're right in between them. If you turn right from the place you get back into the main hostel area in a few minutes (on bike) and if you turn left you find really beautiful roadways and scenery and you can get away from all the "traveler" stuff. Cafe compestre is just down the street (2 min walking) where you can get a really really good cappuccino. My boyfriend also got a haircut across the street haha. The food they made us was so so so good (our favorite if we HAD to pick was probably the burritos, and they make some of the best smoothies on the island). we were also able to get our moto bike and kayaking through the family as well, and everything was a really good price and easy. On day 4 or so we found a hole in the tire which they fixed in just a couple hours and they didn't charge us which we really appreciated. There was a power outage one evening (it happens on the island from time to time) and they set us up with a candlelit dinner and we just loved that (picture below). The family who owns this are truly wonderful people and we felt really at home, possibly too at home as we were supposed to stay 5 nights and we stayed 9 or 10 😂. I usually got up early and worked a few hours in the balcony seating area with a coffee or smoothie, so can confirm working here is also no problem. For context, I was working fully online building a webpage with large files so internet needed to be really functioning well, and it was :)

Super locatie op het eiland, mits je een scooter of ander vervoer huurt. Personeel is vriendelijk wanneer je ze wat vraagt. Kamer is ruim. Zitje voor de deur is erg fijn om te relaxen. Het eiland is geweldig!
