De grote kamer is erg mooi ingericht, en ruim. Zeer goed schoongemaakt. Uitzicht bij de klif met de stoelen is een ware grote plus. Ga je als gezin, dan zijn de kamers niet naast elkaar, maar wel vlakbij elkaar, kan met kleine kinderen lastig zijn.

The property is absolutely wonderful. Nice, natural landscaping that let's you feel immersed in the Hawaiian rainforest. Feels very secluded and private, while also feeling safe and welcoming. Its walking distance to a black sand, clothing optional, beach. I will definitely book here again when visiting the Big Island. I would feel safe here as a solo traveler. Stephen greeted us when we arrived to the property and was so welcoming. I immediately felt at ease in his presence. He gave us a tour and showed us to our rooms, let us know how to reach him if we needed anything. Our smoke alarm was going off one night and he came right over, checked it out and swapped the battery, fixing the problem. I traveled with a friend and we each had separate rooms. The house feels more home like, relaxing front porch, solid wood furniture, and everything you'd need. Both rooms were clean and beds comfortable. At first, I thought my bed may be too soft, but I slept SO good and woke with no pains, feeling refreshed, so it must have been just right. Bath and beach towels were in our rooms, a bathrobe, a list of hosted and local activities we may be interested in, and a little bowl of snacks too. I also appreciated they had sunscreen and bug spray available.

Ocean Breeze Inn ligt in Keaau, op 14 km van Lava Tree State Park, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een terras en een barbecue. We had a lovely welcome from Andy and the directions we were given were perfect . The apartment was spacious , very well equipped and spotlessly clean . The sound of the waves from the nearby seashore was amazing .The location was perfect for visiting the volcano national park and we recommend joining a trip to the summit of Mauna Kea . We would highly recommend choosing to stay here and do go and look at the beautiful sunrise at the point about 2 minutes walk away .

Kona Magic Honu Room ligt in Kailua-Kona, op 2 minuten lopen van White Sands Beach Park en 14 km van Kaloko-Honokohau National Historic Park. Het was een fijne host. Je zit vlakbij een prachtig strand waar je heerlijk zonsondergang kan kijken. Het is 10 min van het centrum af en dichtbij stranden, dat vonden wij heel fijn.

Orchid Tree B&B beschikt over een zwembad, een tuin, een terras en uitzicht op het zwembad, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi in Hilo. Orchid tree is exceptionally beautiful, totally solar powered with a beautiful pool, hot tub and landscaping, a large lanai for relaxing and the room is truly large with lounge able furniture , pristine clean. Many places we’ve stayed give you pictures that don’t really represent the place when you arrive. However orchid tree is wonderful as are the hosts, both friendly and responsive ! Breakfast was just fine with fresh fruit, yogurt, granola and a good selection of Juices , breads, cream cheese, etc as well as freshly ground coffee. (Plenty for us but if you are an egg type there’s always places in town). But the lanai, the waves crashing, the superb coffee, we didn’t need more!

Hale Hualalai bevindt zich in Kailua-Kona, op 8,9 km van Kaloko-Honokohau National Historic Park, en biedt gratis WiFi, gratis privéparkeren en uitzicht op de zee. We had the pleasure of meeting Ricky and his family. Ricky and Irina are born hosts, with the right touch of humor. Breakfast was a real treat every day. Ricky is a very good chef. We were also able to benefit from the best insider tips. This enabled us to explore Kona perfectly. Our time with Ricky was great. Should we return to Kona, we will definitely book the Hale Hualalai and maybe have a drum session with Ricky :)

Het Hale-Hoola B & B bevindt zich in Captain Cook en biedt gratis WiFi. Alle kamers beschikken over een patio en een zithoek. Er is ook een eethoek met een magnetron en een koelkast. The property is nestled just off the highway. The view from our room and from the lanai was outstanding. It was a comfortable room for my husband and our two teenage boys. We were served delicious breakfast with eggs cooked a variety of ways, fresh fruit, pastries (including fresh baked scones), and breakfast meat each day. The owners were friendly and informative. There was snorkel gear, beach towels, beach shoes, beach towels, and a boogie board (that had seen better days, but was well loved by my boys) to borrow. There were lots of guide books to borrow as well. We loved being just South of Capitan Cook. We left every day after breakfast and explored until after supper. There is a comfortable shared family room outside of each of the rooms, but we were not spending much time at the resort awake.
