Nice room, comfy japanese-style beds, everything was spotless. Kitchen available. Restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Onsen nearby, too. Lovely garden/common space with bonfire. But the very best point was the owner, a supernice guy who gave us a lot of useful suggestions. It was lovely to chat with him over a glass of shochu! Super recommended

A beautifully renovated house in a convenient location for seeing the sights in Aso. The owners were very kind and helpful both before and during our stay. They put in a big effort to make sure the house was warm enough and to make our stay comfortable in every way. The room and the futons were very comfortable. The common facilities were clean and functional and in the kitchen many amenities and snacks were provided for free. We even got little Halloween treats:)

An unbelievably cosy cottage situated in the most surreal grassy forest you will ever see. Mr H and his son were very nice and both wonderful souls. I look forward to coming again and talking late in to the night with Mr H.

This is a beautiful traditional (restored) Japanese house. Exceptionally spacious and comfortable for two people. The balcony at first floor and patio area with sun loungers to the rear were nice for relaxing at breakfast time and in the afternoon sun after a day out to Mount Aso. The highlight however was the optional barbecue evening meal in the impressive annexe. The host couple were incredibly kind and helpful and the meal was out of this world. The annexe building also has some impressive TV/audio facilities. It was a very memorable stay and we would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Sanrinsha offers simple Western-style accommodations with free WiFi. Guests can relax at the garden terrace which features tables and chairs.

We really enjoyed staying here. Its simple accomodation but comfortable. If the host wants to send you to his favorite restaurant, go for it. Its an experience. The area is beautiful. And while you are here, go for lunch at Leek. A bot to miss mom and pop place.

The house itself was very nice and spacious. The common areas were pretty and clean. There was a large window overlooking some woods and a stream which was quite nice to sit in front of.
