We stayed at the Farm Inn Sanzaemon for a single night as a break from the rush from the big cities. And what a break it was! The family who runs the inn showed almost endless hospitality, and they were so kind and wholesome. A lovely couple indeed! The Inn itself is a big traditional Japanese house with tatami mats and a wooden interior, which just looks amazing. The room we slept in had a view of the sun rising in the morning and a serene view over the fields of rice and vegetables growing in the countryside. We were so happy choosing to stay at this Farm Inn. It has been nothing short of an incredible experience, staying there and meeting this lovely family.

We really enjoyed our stay at Racine Home Haríe. The owner was very helpful, organising a last minute local guided tour for us to see the Yubatas or open air kitchen sinks of the village. Beautiful and peaceful village and stay.

This was a truely unique experience, the highlight of our trip to Japan. Masako welcomed us with beautiful hospitality, kindness and made us feel right at home. To have her cook a traditional dinner , using locally sourced fresh ingredients was incredible. The rice, I’ll never forget eating that perfectly cooked organic rice grown next to the field where we were staying. If you want a relaxing, very unique Japanese experience in the most spectacular surrounds, I can’t recommend Masako and Tanada House enough!

We had a great stay in this traditional little house ! Everything is clean, the kitchen is very well equipped, we loved the bathroom with a view of the surrounding fields and mountains. The family is lovely and has a great sense of hospitality. We will come back !

The son and mother running the guesthouse were wonderful. It's a beautiful location, and because it is fairly far from the station, the son picked us up in his van at the station. We did have to call him to get us (which we knew ahead of time), so it's important to have the capability to do so or otherwise arrange it with the guesthouse host. We thoroughly enjoyed the onsen at the hotel with included yukatas and our very spacious room (had a heater/AC as well!). The sheets and yukatas and towels were impeccably clean and pressed. The son and mother had a lovely cafe with free beverages downstairs, and they also had a wonderful breakfast we paid for in the morning. I feel this guesthouse is truly a hidden gem and highly recommend it to anyone considering it. Easily one of the best places I have stayed at in Japan. My husband and I were so charmed during the whole experience.

I just booked this place last minute for an unexpected one night stay in Kinomoto but ended up staying three nights there! The owner was so nice that she even came back from another city one day earlier to make my stay possible. I had very good time with them visiting a cool event and having a food party at the guesthouse. The guesthouse is very beautiful traditional house with manny stylish details. The breakfasts was also yummy (oishi!) and the staff was very friendly and accommodative. Wish you all the best Maru and the team :)
