Rooms and common areas were regularly cleaned, with spotless floors and tidy surroundings. The bins were emptied frequently, ensuring a hygienic environment throughout my stay. Essential amenities were thoughtfully provided, including cutlery and a kettle, making it easy and convenient to prepare tea or coffee whenever needed. Despite being a shared space, the atmosphere remained mostly peaceful at night. Fellow guests were generally respectful, and late-night noise was minimal, but sometimes, there were disturbances A dedicated person was available to greet new guests and offer a thorough orientation, which made settling in and understanding the facilities effortless.

Wonderfully charming and erudite host in Mr. Anzai. Beautiful 110 year old house once a calligraphy school. Many artifacts to admire. Good location short walk to wandering streets near Nara Park.

This was by far my favourite stay of my Japan trip. Not only was the guest house absolutely stunning and tastefully furnished, within very close proximity to the deer park, I was welcomed so warmly and it really felt like home for the night I was there. This is more than just a guest house- this is a beautiful place to bring people from all around the world together.
