The owners were friendly and able to accommodate an early check in and late departure when our flight time was changed. The room was large and clean as was the bathroom whilst still retaining local charm. The bed was comfortable and shower powerful. The owner made us coffee and cake when we went back in the evening to sit and play cards. The breakfast was amazing - more food than we could eat and again made extra coffee when we asked. If you come to Herbal, and you should, then definitely stay here.

Great!! Really recommend it, it was very pleasant and easy to check in. Location is great, you never really get lost since it is in the corner of the medina, just follow the city wall 😄 The breakfast varies depending on the day but always very filling and good. We could leave the bags almost all day after the check-out (for free of course). You also have a terrace where you can rest and get a bit of sun. Thank you so much! Aychek!

Wow where do I start- what didn’t I like? Everything about this place is perfect. The property is beautiful and the room I stayed in was out of this world. I couldn’t get of the design and architecture. The hospitality of the place is another key highlight. The owner and his mother run the place. They are so lovely and warm. The owner took us on a tour of the Médina and told us about the history of it which was super interesting. He was also kind enough to take us out to explore the city in the evening inviting us to a concert in the grand museum. His mother makes the best breakfast I’ve had in Tunisia. You could feel the love in the dishes. I felt at home the whole time and was sad to leave. If and when I’m back in Tunisia next, I’m definitely adding sousse to my itinerary just to stay at this lovely Dar.

An extremely well-managed property, with beautiful interior design and a lot of care for details! The dinner at the restaurant was just fantastic as well as the service. Great. And Sana was extremely friendly, helpful and present at any time to support with everything needed (and even helped us to purchase the olive oil we enjoyed so much at our breakfast). A great thank!

I spent some time in dar Hkeim because I had to attend university seminars in Sousse. The space exceeded my expectations in every way: it is cozy, bright, and extremely comfortable. Not only is it my recommendation, but I also want to come back there sooner or later. The soft music during breakfast was what I loved the most.

If you want to be in the old medina this place is perfect. It is also safe, I wandered around day & night by myself down these little alleys and never felt threatened - you will just meet families and people going about their lives who often say hello with a smile. The owner is super helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I return to monastir. If you want busyness and things to entertain you in your accommodation this isn’t but if you appreciate peace and having space to yourself it’s perfect.
