A nice and peacefull road with absolute silence and tranquility. The hosts are the most friendly and kind people you will ever meet in your life, they make sure you are confertable and the rooms reflect that with a nice soft and comfy bed. The rooms where very clean and fresh and the breakfest, dont get me startet this was by far the best english home made breakfest i ever had. We came from London (our annual trip from LA) to see a college friend of mine, and the owners allowed us to have our reunion over a delicious dinner over a six hour period! A perfect country pub both for locals and visitors. Well situated, being in the countryside but not far from major routes and East Midlands Airport. The staff were outstanding, both friendly and efficient. Over the three nights of our stay it was good to see the seamless teamwork that made us feel so very comfortable. The food - both breakfasts, snacks and dinners were all delicious, freshly cooked and not just the same old standards found elsewhere. We will be back on our next trip to see family in the area.

The welcoming staff and personal touch were pretty refreshing. The rooms were big and comfortable and one cannot complain about free upgrades.

Area was rural and quiet, except for the ducks who were beautiful but not too noisy. So comfortable, large private space, homemade bread and jam, fresh eggs, cereals for choosing. Alison was lovely and was so welcoming and willing to help if needed. Lovely stay, highly recommend.
