The house itself is really beautiful, clean, and very close to the train station. It's very easy to get to all the Nara sightseeing spots. I cannot recommend this amazing place enough. If you hesitate - don't, you have found the best place to stay at around Nara:)

Despite my failing to communicate in a timely way everything was ready when we arrived. The owners tell us they have had an arrangement for years for kaiseki dinners to be delivered in, but they serve it as if you were in the restaurant and it is good quality and value for money. It's a single group booking only and although most of the house is very old, there is an up to date minkitchen if you want to make your own breakfast. Everything is well maintained. The bath is only outside access so in bad weather it could be a bit off-putting.
