All the buildings are sparkling and new: breakfast has both Thai and Western choices with fresh fruit. It’s a short drive to Walking Street. Khun Jeab, the owner, is amazing. So friendly and helpful. She recommended lovely cafes overlooking the Mekong away from the crowds. She has fantastic knowledge of the area and really looked after us. We stayed another night and didn’t want to leave. A relaxing break in beautiful surroundings and a short “hop” to the action when you want to do the tourist things like cycling along the Mekong or a boat trip. Highly recommended.

A fridge and kettle are also featured. อวบอิ๋มรีสอร์ท (OuabIm) is a resort with separated cabins, which is pleasant. The cabins are quiet. WiFi was good (important near the mountains). Refrigerator, aircon, fan, strong hot water. Everything clean. Location is an easy fifteen-minute walk from the main street in Phu Kradueng town, where there is a big line-up of sit-down open-air food places, a 7-Eleven, other stores, and an excellent coffee shop (บ้านเค้ก กาแฟสด) that makes really good cakes on the premises. The staff is not English-speaking. They use Google translate on their phones, but are efficient. They did my laundry, and found me transport. If you are climbing Phu Kradueng mountain, this is a good base. Also, one of the staff ladies gave me some bananas as I left!

At the guest house, units include bed linen and towels. the staffs/ owner is really nice, we went there too early and no where to go , they offered us a check in in earlier, there are 2 bicycles available and it's free. the location is far from walking street a bit but good thing is that the price is good with private bath room and quiet place, i personally think that it's better than finding a commodation around walking street with higher price but share bath room

The setting and the room were both out of the ordinary Setting: The hotel is on a (reasonably) quiet street with a wat at the end. A 7-Eleven and a Punthai café are on the other side of the street. Gates and a driveway insulate the hotel from street noise. The building is set amidst trees and a garden (I saw a butterfly), where there are places to sit. There is ample oarking in the back. Room: The room quite large. It's really two rooms: An entrance area with fridge, table, sink, and the bathoom, and the living and sleeping area, with a long counter, a very large bed, and a balcony (a real one with a chair and space to sit). There are more than enough plugs, which is good me me because I travel with a lot of electronic equipment. All the light switches are reasonably placed (i.e., you don't have to get out of bed to turn off the room lights). Best of all, there are reading lights, so I can read in bed. Very civilized. All the fixtures are of a higher quality than usual in a Thai hotel, including the bathroom, which is prettily tiled. All in all, a really great place and the nearby 7-Eleven and Punthai are a plus. If I were considering a long-stay in Loei City, I would put this high on my list.
