We loved the spaciousness of Villa Mariem. The sunlit dining room, with glass walls facing east and west, was especially bright, and opening the many shuttered windows and courtyard doors in the afternoons filled the villa with warm, fresh December air. The furnishings throughout are comfortable and inviting, making it a pleasant place to return to after days out. Some of my favourite comforts included: the clean, comfortable leather couches; the firm mattress with a generous choice of blankets—pillowy comforters, wool, and cotton; the granite kitchen counters and well-stocked cupboards with dishes, cookware, a kettle, and a teapot; the consistently hot water in both the shower and the kitchen sink; and the large white cotton bath towels! We also appreciated the electric heater, which took the edge off the cool mornings and evenings. We enjoyed the location, too, so walkable to the best cafes and restaurants. Most of all, our host, Zied, exceeded our expectations. He was exceptionally accommodating, helpful, and available throughout our stay—warm, personable, and deeply knowledgeable about the area. His care and attention made our time in Tozeur so enjoyable! We highly recommend booking one of his spaces.

We had a group of 9 adults and a toddler and the space was perfect for our group! Large, spacious, well decorated rooms with several common spaces made us all feel relaxed and comfortable. Be sure to eat a meal or two at the property because the food was absolutely delicious and featured local favorites. The owner was happy to provide recommendations for local visits and offered to connect us with guides. We were well cared for during our stay and can't recommend this place enough!
