Had a lovely stay here. It feels very friendly due to the low number of houses, so people become familiar and you feel part of the place. It also feels more local, you are amongst the shops and streets and not just isolated in a hotel. Truda and Alex were so helpful and friendly! great breakfeast, great stay...great coffee from Truda ;-) Overall we had a lovely time. It is a 7min walk from beach but I liked that because I got local cassava chips or had a beer from the local store and enjoyed my walk! and they have a dog called Beauty!

Zuzana is an incredible host, meticulously attending to every detail from check-in to check-out. Her thoughtfulness shone through in the valuable recommendations she provided for restaurants, local attractions, and tours. She’s not only helpful but also genuinely lovely to interact with. I stayed in Room 2 for nine days, and it exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed with everything I needed. Each room comes with its own outdoor seating area (or a balcony if you're upstairs), complete with a convenient clothesline for drying beachwear—a small detail that made a big difference. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe in the area, and the beach is just a quick 1-2 minute walk away. The breakfast was delicious, featuring fresh fruit, juice, eggs, local bread, tea, coffee, and even local porridge. It was always a great way to start the day and have a nice conversation with the staff. A special shout-out to Barack, who, like the rest of the staff, greeted me with a warm smile every day. One particularly memorable gesture was when I burned my arm and Zuzana generously provided medication and cream, even coming to my aid late at night. She also offered to change up the breakfast menu to keep things interesting, though I was more than happy with the daily spread. Lastly, Zuzana arranged for my airport pick-up with a fantastic driver named Salim, which made my arrival smooth and stress-free. In short, I can’t recommend this place enough—it's a hidden gem in Nungwi. I wish all the best to the team.

The breakfast, the staff, definitely will be staying here again.

The property in a 2min walk from what is probably one of my now favorite beaches in zanzibar. It's of the tourist track so nice a quiet but has a few other properties you can have meals at. The property can arrange everything that you need from transfers to tours. Highly recommend this property. The staff are some of the best trained staff I've met in Zanzibar. The restaurant food was really good and I actually had nearly all my meals there.

This place is magical, artistically decorated, beautiful rooms & right on the gorgeous beach. The staff was so kind and accommodating. Francesco made sure I had everything I needed. Zanzibar House was a true oasis of peace & relaxation.
