Our host Pablo was very friendly and helpful, and gave us suggestions for dining as well as the best produce vendor in the area. The location is ideal - in a small quiet village [La Flaminia; not Tigre, by the way] just outside Puerto Viejo and off the main Route 4, very close to the amazing La Selva Research Station (don't miss one of their tours for incredible wildlife!), but in a quiet and secure spot - no barking dogs, roosters or traffic noise! Fabulous kitchen, great hot showers, quiet A/C: it's not in the rainforest itself, but it's a great place to relax after a day in the rainforest.
