We stayed only one night at the Mango guesthouse. It is located on a small island Elephantine, just a 3-4 minute ferry ride away from Aswan. We were so exhausted from the daily activities and this guesthouse was so perfect for a night of rest! The quiet location, impeccably clean and spatious room, bed with two pillows per person! The best sleep we have ever had on a vacation 🌞 Also, the guesthouse has an open bar for free hot drinks, lounge area with books, and which we liked the best - the coziest garden full of palm and fig trees, bougainvillea and a friendly dog keeping company. We had an early check out, the host prepared us an amazing breakfast to take away. Our biggest regret on our trip to Egypt is not staying longer on Elephantine island, it is just so beautiful to enjoy.

The host was amazingly friendly, even inviting us to his nieces engagement party while we were there and we got to experience some authentic Nubian food! The location is great, much quieter than staying on the east bank but also just a short and very cheap ferry ride over to the hustle and bustle. The room was nice and clean with a bathroom, ceiling fan, heaps of cupboard space, supplied towels and a really comfy bed. Would definitely reccomend!

Vi havde et fantastisk ophold hos Abu. Alle der besøger Aswan bør absolut bo på Abu Guest House. Man får en ægte lokal oplevelse, personalet er utroligt venlige, og værelserne er rene og komfortable. Abu er desuden utrolig hjælpsom og kan arrangere ture og aktiviteter, hvis man ønsker det. Alt i alt en 10/10 oplevelse – vi kommer igen!

The location is excellent, and our host was lovely and incredibly helpful. This place truly exceeded our expectations. Initially, we had some doubts based on our previous experiences in Egypt, but La Terrace turned out to be one of the best in terms of location, views, and price.Situated on Elephantine Island, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The room was spacious, featuring three beds and a cozy bathroom, equipped with all the basic facilities we needed. The island itself is perfect for grounding, relaxing, and taking things slow. Accessing the island from the pier was a breeze, with an affordable boat ticket that took us there in less than 3-4 minutes.Additionally, there are plenty of restaurants around, making it convenient to explore local dining options. We would definitely come back and stay longer next time!

Everything was absolutely perfect. The view of the Nile from the hotel was breathtaking. Getting to the island was a breeze—just cross the mainland on the ferry, and the property is conveniently located just moments from the ferry dock.

Convenient location next to ferry to mainland. Excellent view of the river, boats, corniche, sofitel cataract hotel. Reasonably priced laundry service. Powerful air conditioner and comfortable bed. Refrigerator in room was a welcome touch and I really enjoyed sitting on my terrace watching the boats on the nile. Rawia and her staff will do all they can to ensure you enjoy your stay as much as I did.
