Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). It has a beautiful Japanese garden and a large living room, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our friendly mascot cat will welcome you! We stayed at a separate room which is not inside the main building. The room was spacious and had a private shower and bathroom. The main building of the guest house is very cosy and welcoming and the free dinner and breakfast are a great bonus. The washing machine and dryer were very fast and efficient.

Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The hotel features a public bath, a karaoke room and free WiFi at the lobby. Everything. The style of the hotel was awesome. The staff went above and beyond for us as a small family. The food was delicious.

The interior was really cozy and the hosts were extremely friendly. There’s also a cafe bar so you can get a coffee or night cap which was lovely. There’s also hosts also made great suggestions for places to go for dinner and trails we could go on a walk on. The breakfast was also delicious. Absolutely recommend this place for your quiet getaway to Tsuwano.

Situated 35 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, みやうら御殿 offers 2-star accommodation in Imabari and features a garden. This apartment features free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The apartment has family rooms. Not sure if this was a ryokan, but comfortable stay regardless. Location is a bit off the main road and up a hill. Close to Ōyamazumi Shrine and the main shopping street. Host very friendly and accommodating. This is an older house, and the rooms aren't soundproof. You're able to hear other guests talking in the common area downstairs. But it didn't bother me, and I was still able to go to bed early. The sounds just felt like being in a house with family. Washer and dryer are free to use.

This villa features air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace. The property is non-smoking and is situated 35 km from Kuruson-zan Shuzen-ji Temple. Private, great views, nice rural feeling. This is an exceptional property for relaxing. We stayed 2 nights and had a great time.

The food of the restaurant the owner helped to reserve is very delicious. Strongly recommend.

Sopia Golf Garden is 21 km from the country house. A lovely experience that makes you feel like a true countryside local. The host made sure we stopped to get groceries at the local Supermarket, and offered us a ride from the nearby Train station. Tatami floors and shoji screen walls make this place feel full of Japanese tradition. A cozy nearby onsen (with snacks and drinks!) and small friendly bakery nearby really make this place feel special. I would love to come back next time I need a quiet escape from the city life.
