Our four-night stay at Jey’s Place was absolutely perfect. We were warmly welcomed by Jistin and Prasanth, who went out of their way to make our stay truly memorable. Jistin is an excellent cook who prepared delicious and refined traditional meals (lunches and dinners) using fresh, local ingredients — many of which came directly from their own garden. We also greatly enjoyed talking with him, and he even taught us how to make his delicious coconut pancakes. The garden is beautiful and perfectly maintained, and the rooms are cool, comfortable, and impeccably clean. We also had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Jey, the owner — a truly kind and welcoming man. We will definitely return to Jey’s Place on a future trip to Sri Lanka.

Excellent as I expected because I stayed there last year.So peaceful my days on the beach were tremendous, almost the whole beach to myself,only a few locals every now and then.Brenda makes the stay by providing anything and everything your heart desires.If you want a peaceful relaxing simple natural place to stay slightly outside of Trincomalee this is it. Great place near the beach, nice atmosphere, set in a lovely garden. The owners are very friendly and helpful and they make the most delicious breakfast. We were in the family chalet with two bedrooms, simple basic comforts, but all you need for a beach stay. They also have newer air-con rooms. The beach is 5 min walk.

I loved my stay here, so much so that I ended up coming back again at the end of my trip. As a solo female traveler, Prashanth made the place feel like home - friendly, kind and welcoming, and his love for his animals is admirable. The animals also made it feel like home too of course, and it was so nice to have pets around while traveling. Prashanth can help with all your questions/activities/transport during your visit. The place is clean and new and each room has AC.
