Richar gidste ons naar de hoogste top van het eiland en kon heel wat vertellen over het leven op Amantani. Wij kwamen uit Juliaca via de ferry aan Puerto Chifron en Richar regelde voor ons een boot om de volgende ochtend terug te keren Puno. Lucrecia zorgde voor heel lekker eten. Achteraf gezien hadden we beter 2 nachten gebleven. Dan was er wat meer tijd geweest, bvb om met Richar te gaan vissen.

Nights can be cold, but the extra blankets made it cozy. We experienced a minor bathroom issue, yet the hosts were responsive and solved it right away. We appreciated the tour organized through Manuel, and the meals were enjoyable: breakfast was excellent while dinner was simple and fairly priced.

An amazing and unforgettable experience. Mario and Julia were the best hosts. They showed us all over the island, answered all questions in detail and are just one of the nicest people we have ever met around the world. The island is a magical place, rarely any disturbing noises, just nature and an tranquil lifestyle. The nature is absolutely stunning. If you come to the island make sure to stay at least 1, better 2 or more nights to fully discover the island and to give your mind and soul a proper reset! Rooms were very comfy with 24h electricity and in our case a hot shared shower. You can eat lunch at the local community restaurant and Julia will make breakfast and dinner for a very reasonable price. Local crafts can be bought directly from them or from other families at the main square.These products can not be found in any other place! Just make sure to bring enough cash as there is no ATM on the island and only one little store accepts card payment. If you are in Peru or in Bolivia make sure to spend at least 2 nights here, you will not regret it!

Casa Panqarani bevindt zich in Puno, op 6 minuten lopen van San Antonio Church en minder dan 1 km van Bus Station. Heerlijk adres in Pino. Je wordt er hartelijk verwelkomd door Ursula. Ze is echt super behulpzaam. We waren de enige gasten en hrt restaurant was ficht laar toch toverde ze op 10 min een lekker avondmaal voor ons. Mijn man had een medisch probleem. Zij zorde dat we een half uur later al een dokter konden zien.super !! De kamer was zeer comfortabel en ruim. Heerlijk ontbijt ook.

Tikawasi Homestay Comunidad Pueblo Isla Amantani José Luis in Amantani biedt accommodatie met uitzicht op de stad, een tuin en een terras. This was probably my favourite stay in all of my travels across Peru, Bolivia and Argentina. I had a really special stay, dare I say a spiritual experience on the 8th of the 8th. Communication with Jose Louis and family was great from beginning to end, there were enough activities offered to make the most of the time, with also opportunities for peaceful solo time. Pilan’s cooking is incredible. Highlights were the sunset from the mountain, joining in the community dancing and fire ceremonies in the plaza and just the general chats with the family around the dinner table with the other guests. I felt so welcomed, warm and at ease - this was my home away from home for a night, I wish I could’ve stayed longer. It takes special kind of people to make you feel this was so thank you Jose Louis and Pilan and family for welcoming us to your beautiful home.

"Casa de Valentin" in Llachon biedt accommodatie met uitzicht op de bergen, een tuin, een privéstrand en een restaurant. Het landhuis beschikt over zowel gratis WiFi als privéparkeren. Fantastisch! Mooie, schone en ruime kamer. Goed bed. Lekker eten en zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaar. Tevens een hele mooie omgeving en prachtig uitzicht vanaf de locatie.

Titicaca Sariri Lodge in Puno biedt accommodatie met uitzicht op de stad, een tuin, een terras en een restaurant. Alle units hebben een eigen badkamer met douche. Alles! Het ontvangst, de boottocht, onze lodge, het eten en vooral Isaac! Hij is een super vriendelijke man die oprecht het beste met je voor heeft en er alles aan zal doen om jouw verblijf top te maken. Samen met Isaac was magisch en opstaan met het uitzicht nog magischer.

The rooms overlook a patio and, most importantly, the lake view is heavenly. Sophia is an incredible person, who will do everything to pamper you and share her culture, especially her delicious cuisine. A must-do excursion on this peaceful island steeped in history.

Departamento INCA PALACE EXPERIENCE is gelegen in Puno, op 3 minuten lopen van Plaza de Armas in Puno, 200 meter van San Antonio Church en 7 minuten lopen van Huajsapata Hill, en biedt accommodatie... Excellent location. Fantastic, high quality linen. Fluffy, fresh towels. Great hot water and shower pressure. Quiet in the bedroom for a great sleep. Well-equipped kitchen. Very friendly staff. The value of the room for what I paid was amazing. They even came out to meet me and carry my bags when Peru Hop dropped me off.
