There was an elevator, which is a big advantage for anyone with heavy luggage. The apartment had everything we needed, and our child was even able to do homework at one of the small desks in the bedroom. The check-in and stay instructions were excellent — very detailed and easy to follow. Since the building entrance is tucked away in a small alley, the step-by-step guide with photos really helped us find our way quickly. There’s also underground parking available. A woman who lives on the same floor and is connected to the apartment’s owner was very helpful — she had a spare key, which saved us when ours turned out to be broken (it only opened the top lock, not the bottom one). Thanks to her, we were able to get into the apartment without any trouble. As an architect, I’d like to add a small but interesting detail — right next to this building there’s another one, an old structure built in 1911, before the First World War, in the Art Nouveau style. You absolutely must see it while it’s still standing and hasn’t been demolished yet. You’ll easily recognize it — the year of construction is written right on its façade.

Two young Bulgarian business school grads who are cousins run the best hostel I have ever been in. Modern, ultra clean, brand new beds, 2 towels supplied, sophisticated but easy to use security system, excellent kitchen, speak good English, history books of the superb city of Ruse supplied. We arrived later than we promised because of issues with our trip but the owner greeted us absolutely wonderful even in the middle of the night. Room was clean and nice, when being able to pay after arriving and the location is added too this place was by far the best I could expect according to this cheap price. 10/10 would recommend.

A wonderful boutique hotel/guesthouse. Location is just on the Danube literally 5 minutes from the center square, rooms are nice and spotless, service is excellent, abundant free parking near the hotel, great breakfast and very relaxing atmosphere.
