A Soulful Stay at Cabañas Iracas Del Mar Tucked along the serene shores of Nuquí, Cabañas Iracas del Mar offered us a retreat that felt both restful and idyllic. From the moment we arrived, Daisy, the heart and soul of this place and the rest of the staff welcomed us with a warmth that went far beyond hospitality. Their care and attention to detail made us feel not just accommodated, but genuinely looked after. At times, we’d find ourselves chatting with the other family members and staff, sharing stories, or picking fresh fruit right from the trees in the garden. Each of us had our own cabin, and they were just what we needed spacious , comfortable, and open to the lush surroundings. The sounds of the ocean and the songs of the birds drifted in naturally. We especially loved reading in the hammocks just outside the cabins on the balconies, swaying gently in the afternoon breeze. The location is also perfect, just a stone’s throw from the beach, and close enough to town that we could walk in for lunch or dinner, but far enough that it still felt like a world of its own. Like being in a town away from the town. Our stay at Cabañas Iracas del Mar was more than just a holiday it felt like a journey into the heart of Nuquí’s natural beauty and the deep, quiet generosity of its people. If you’re looking for a place that offers both solitude and connection, peaceful rest and enriching excursions, this is a destination that truly has it all.

Amelia was so welcoming and the property is in a lovely location close to the beach. The best part about our stay was the incredible dishes Amelia prepared - the tastiest and most varied food we’ve had during our time in Colombia. Amelia organised us a couple of tours and gave us the information and contacts we needed.

The best place we stayed at in Colombia!! It’s such a magical place and I would recommend it to all my friends or family visiting Nuquí. The rooms were spacious and made you feel part of nature. Deconnecting was never so easy. The food that was prepared for us was fresh and so tasty. The staff was incredible, we also met the owner and we loved the story of how he started the hotel. We were able to do some nice activities such as whale watching which was just incredible :-) At Luzul you really feel welcome!

La Aldea… It’s really hard to describe this place. A hidden gem in the middle of la selva—full of hummingbirds, crabs, butterflies, and the most amazing trees and plants. Every hour brings a different kind of beauty, and I especially loved the moments when it rained, and right after. The place is isolated; to reach the village you need to cross two rivers, always checking the tide. I stayed 6 nights in the shared bedroom, with the bathroom outside, and it truly felt like a jungle experience. What made it even more special were Valentina and Carlos—so thoughtful, welcoming, and genuinely lovely hosts. And for me personally, La Aldea became the place where I found myself doing things I never imagined—like crossing the rivers at night alone. So I definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a unique Pacific experience.

Amelia was so welcoming and the property is in a lovely location close to the beach. The best place we stayed at in Colombia!! It’s such a magical place and I would recommend it to all my friends or family visiting Nuquí. The rooms were spacious and made you feel part of nature. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming. The communication worked pretty well even we dont speak any spanish. It was very clean and the beach was just 2 minutes away and beautiful. The port and airport is near. Just a 10 minutes walk to get there. Its not in the middle of the village but thats why its very quiet and beautiful. And the coffee was very good ☺️

Location is excellent in front of the beach and far from the noisy villages. Very beautiful nature in the hostel. You can have all meals in there. Staff is friendly . There is a water filter to provide free water and sometimes free coffee
