It started well with the welcome by hostess Sabine, who offered us a drink, gave us a tour and showed us to our room. The room was perfect, with nice thick mattresses and we slept very comfortably. The bathroom with shower was spotless and in perfect order. It is a B&B with a very extensive breakfast. During the day, you could also get croissants and coffee or other drinks on request. Sabine also gave us a list of restaurants in the area where we could have dinner that are less touristy. She was born in the Netherlands and speaks perfect Dutch, but German, Italian and other languages are no mystery to her either. Her husband Romelo renovated the house himself, adding his own style and finishing everything down to the last detail.

Our experience at Thai Orchidee was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out with staff who were genuinely kind, attentive, and thoughtful throughout our stay. We loved the restaurant so much that we dined there twice! The food was exceptional, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. It’s clear they take pride in their culinary craft. The room was equally impressive, well-equipped with everything we needed and accented by nice wooden touches. Despite its location next to a busy road, the space was surprisingly quiet once inside. The modern furnishings added a layer of comfort that made our stay truly relaxing. All in all, Thai Orchidee delivered on every front. We felt cared for, well-fed, and completely at ease. Would definitely recommend and return!

Wonderful stay at this oasis of peace. The hotel is well located, 5 mins walk from the ferry, lake, shops and restaurants. Our room was on the top floor and had a beautiful view of the gardens and lake. Our bed and pillows were comfortable and the bathroom was new. We had plenty of hanging space for our belongings. The hotel is spotlessly clean, furnished elegantly and comfortable. The staff are superb and really look after you.The food is excellent, we wished we had booked half board ( we will next time) The Gala dinner was very special , live music beautiful setting. I used the Wellness relaxing area and gym. A real bonus for me was the free Yoga classes. We stayed 7 nights and were sad to leave. We are a couple who are quite fussy to please, but it was all just perfect for us.

It’s a handsome building right on the lake. Our first floor room had a very big balcony / terrace with sun loungers and a table and parasol- very necessary as the sun was very hot. There’s an excellent buffet breakfast served on the front terrace. The hotel location is ideal, a few metres from the ferry pier.

The hosts at this accommodation were so lovely, as were the waiting staff - very friendly and welcoming! The room was spacious, the facilities plentiful (hot shower, bidet, comfortable bed, fridge) and there was even a lovely balcony terrace overlooking a canopy of ivy. We had our own car parking space and were given two sets of keys. The location was ideal and within 10 minutes walking distance from the lakeside.

The location was ideal and easy to get to the main town and restaurants. The apartment was a good size and spotlessly clean, as was the outside area with lots of space for all residents around the pools, both of which were great. We got excellent advice from Massimo (and his Mum) about the area and where to eat, which was most helpful.

The hotel was in an ideal location just a 5 minute walk to the lake. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The bedroom was welcoming and the bathroom was spotless. We were lucky enough to get a parking spot at the hotel which was a bonus as the other place was 700 metres away.
