If you want to see what 'shabby chic' really means, this is the place. Unique atmosphere and lovely staff — though not many, they have a gorgeous old car but no driver, for example! There's an amazing miniature museum for music boxes and old phonographs in the lobby, which you can enjoy during your morning coffee. The on-site spa needs about a gallon of wood oil and some serious de-scaling, but it's very peaceful and very warm, and you can stay in there all night long if you want to. The Japanese style rooms are lovely. Imagine you're visiting someone's great-aunt who used to be a glamorous film star, and has lived for decades in a massive old hotel she can't quite maintain. It's pure magic.

We were very happy with this hotel. It had everything we needed, excellent location, quiet, spotless - the place is brand new basically. The hotel staff were also extremely professional and attentive, they helped us with info in English, they helped us get seats at a local izakaya of our choice..We also really liked the tiny hot bath in front of the hotel where we could relax (always with some locals which was cool), soak our feet, and have a beer from the vending machine ;)

It is an annex to a beautiful house and close to a historical street with sake makers. The host is wonderfully kind and helpful. We took a sweet local train to the next town to eat. It is two minute walk to a small train station.

The accommodation offers a beautiful authentic family-house. The host provides a warm place and despite not able to communicate in the same language, we felt welcome and appreciated the interaction (and the support with cooking food in the kitchen/dining area). Outside temperature was cold, but the bedroom was warm due to the heater and we slept very comfortable on the futons with sufficiently thick duvets

The Lodge was a wonderful place to spend a night in Imari. It's full of character and close to all of the kilns and shops making it easy to explore. Our host greeted us and gave us some tips for onsen and restaurants. There was also a great info book about the house, which was very useful as some of light switches are in funky spots. We really enjoyed our stay here.

This is a brand new hotel. I recommend that u stay at least 2 nights and have the half-board. The onsen is good as it is situated in the roof top of the hotel. The view of ureshino is great. Dinner buffet comes with free flow of beer and sake. There are also good facilities and lounge whereby you can enjoy reading a book. Free tea and drinks throughout the lounge.

Only 10 minutes away from the train station, the room was so comfortable and I even had the surprise to discover a massage seat in my room! I stayed only one night but would 100% recommend and come again !
