A very nice property that shows the best of Portuguese rural interior areas, in a mystical mountain. The staff is very accommodating and the place has many cozy touches, such as candies and fruits spread throughout. The village had a strong roman presence, and it shows, so even in the village (Matança), you can enjoy some sight seeing, and you are fairly close to Trancoso (historical town, with medieval city center), Guarda (historical vity with an impressive cathedral), and Serra da Estrela peak. The announced big breakfast, really has you feeling that you got your money's worth since it is exquisite and abundant.

Excellent location. The rooms are of a high standard, and very comfortable and welcoming. Excellent staff who were very caring and wanted to make sure your stay was great. It is such a great place to get away from everything, and I highly recommend staying there.

We were looking for a tranquil place in the countryside to enjoy nature and relax. The location is perfect and there are many activities on offer from archery to the swimming pool. Christina and her staff were so helpful and friendly, always willing to give us some advice about the area. The food was delicious, it was really nice that we could eat at the property because you would have to travel for a while to the next restaurant.

The location, the potential, the staff were exceptional, the shower and bathroom. The breakfast and supper provided were really good and most appreciated given the circumstances. The team should be rewarded for their contribution, without their efforts, this would have been a disaster

Breakfast was a selection of items, bread for toast, jam, cake, eggs, ham and cheese. Room was very clean, towels very soft and bed very comfy. The welcome from the hosts was excellent
