This rural hotel looks like it has recently been totally renovated, so it adds an old palace charm to high standard modern amenities, like a design passage way between the main building/reception area and the building where the rooms are. The gardens are beautiful and very well kept - there is a rose garden, a hortensia's garden, a wall-garden and the gardens around the open air swimming pool. There is also a tennis court by the swimming pool, all very nicely done. The situation is very peaceful and quiet, overlooking the mountains and farms. The rooms are very spacious and some of them have a nice terrace with access to the gardens. The breakfast was really good, all with freshly made products from the region - cheese, ham, marmelade - and home made bread. We stayed happily for two nights and could have stayed longer to unwind! Bonus: the Mondego river walkways are a half hour drive away, a nice walking trail of 16kms.

The apartment is very well located within the Linhares village. It’s only a couple minutes walk to the medieval castle and the main little square of town - which you can find a great restaurant too! It had everything one might need to cook and it was super clean and had such a homey smell. The host was also flexible as I had some issues with my reservation (which was my own mistake, but the host was incredibly flexible and helped me out). It is perfect for a couple to stay, and it is also super charming with the medieval vibes from the city. We were also given a little gift which was super delicious!! Definitely a highlight for us. Funny thing - Linhares doesn’t have house numbers, but the host’s instructions made it super easy to find ;) Totally recommend!!

The location is very good, is near from everything . Is very cozy and warm. The apartment is absolutely stunning, all very new ... very clean ... there is nothing that I can't say wrongly about it. Me and my family loved it and we will return there for sure .

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Pelourinho. The house is situated in the center of the picturesque old village Melo. The house is not large, but spacious enough, cozy, clean and well equipped. We spent three nights there, went sightseeing in Serra da Estrela, the house is conveniently located relative to the main attractions of the region. We had two dogs travelling with us, and there was everything for people with dogs to get conveniently settled. Good value for money, happy to recommend.

The originality of the two older buildings. There was a good choice of breakfast. The location was peaceful, and there were a couple of restaurants nearby for dinner. The room was furnished beautifully and really clean.
