It's very well designed house, vestibul with wood store room, nice living room and kitchen, wood stove, three spacious bedrooms with two bathrooms, an outside barbeque and seating area. It achives all that in relatively small wooden house. It's built in a private area (compared to other places in Blidinje/Risovac) but close to the main street, what makes it practical in winter when it snows. The house is a prefabricated house built totally of wood what gives it a warm fealing. Although the walls are not that thick we found it to be quite warm in winter with snow outside while running the stove. It's a nice little getaway spot for a family or a group of friends to expereince the great Blidinje area and wild mountains that encircle it.

In the middle of a national reserve, with mountains of over 2000m towering around you, it is THE place to go for some peace and relaxation. The elevation of cca. 1250m ensures the air is fresh and clean. The house is located a bit away from the main road (the 419R) so we had ample space for our dog - who was welcome to join us and at no extra charge - to do his morning and evening duties and no need to worry about him running onto the road. The setting would best be described as a "tamed wilderness", the wide plains of grass and bush with the occasional pocket of forest is very easy on the eyes, and also on the lungs. The lake is about 8km away from the property, so going there and back makes for a very good walk. On the way back you can stop at the Hajducke Vrleti inn, an establishment with long tradition in this area. You will not regret it. Their food is excellent, as is the service. The property is described as a wooden Chalet-style house. The advantage of this building style is the high ceiling in the main living area. In the centre of this area there is a fireplace which we made use of every single evening, and later during our stay also during the day, because the weather had turned right then. The atmosphere is amazing. It warms the house very well, but you do have to keep it in mind and feed it on time, lest it cools down too much. The central counter makes preparing a meal together another pleasurable activity. There are a lot of things we were pleased with during our stay there, too many to list them all here. Bottom line, we were very sad when the day came for us to leave. We will definitely be staying there again when we get the chance.
