Its very near to lunugumvehera national park in which you can go safari without disturbing the jungle creatures too much as it's less crowded than many other crowded safari parks around. It is one of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka.

It is located 26 km from Ella Rock and offers a housekeeping service. The guest house features family rooms. It was so so nice to stay here ! Thomasa if the nicest host ever so available and helpful. I ate in his house for diner, and it was delicious ! He took me to Ella by tuktuk and the ride was awesome. I truly recommend you to stay here.

Comfortable, clean, modern rooms, a wonderful river to dip into, the most delicious dinner and a truly beautiful setting. The staff were also exceptional! Can not fault a thing.

There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. We’re really glad we chose the Mailagama Cinnamon Residence for our stay in Kataragama. The staff treated us with great respect and warm hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed the hoppers dinner with its absolutely delicious curries. We must also mention that the curd and honey were the best we’ve ever had.

Guests can relax in the garden at the property. Very nice and clean rooms. We stayed in a bungalow in the middle of the jungle. The bungalow had nice high ceilings, a little porch and aircondition. The hosts are very nice and made us feel very welcome. We had a nice Dinner surrounded by oil lamps in the middle of nature. The hosts organized a half Day Safari for us and packed a nice breakfast with fruits and sandwiches. The place is very close to the park entrance so we started at 5:30 am bit were still one of the first jeeps in the park. The beds are comfortablewe slept really well.

Thanks to all the friendly staff who made our stay memorable. They were beyond helpful. There is such a special relaxed atmosphere and we loved everyone second of it. We were travelling with our kids aged 3, 5 and 9 as well as my mother in law and we all enjoyed it. We spend four nights here, and one day it was raining all day and we still enjoyed every bit of. Wonderful, spacious hang-out areas, great selection of books and games. And I will really recommend everyone to take a walk around the lake. A special thanks to the owner Anne, who is really making an effort in contributing to the community and village. We love you vision of leadership and we really hope to come back one day. Thanks 🙏
