We’re really glad we chose the Mailagama Cinnamon Residence for our stay in Kataragama. The staff treated us with great respect and warm hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed the hoppers dinner with its absolutely delicious curries. We must also mention that the curd and honey were the best we’ve ever had.

They are kind and generous. As a single female traveller I felt very secure in their compound. I strongly advice you book your safari with your host. He’s a confident driver with a keen eye for leopards. Don’t think saving money will serve you well, take a private tour. The guest house is situated close to the park and near to the road the dissects the park. Take an evening safari on the road if you can. The accommodation is very clean. I found it hard to leave these lovely people.

Tranquil Wild ligt in Tanamalwila met uitzicht op het zwembad en heeft een restaurant, roomservice, snackbar, tuin, buitenzwembad dat het hele jaar door open is en terras. We immediately felt at home and welcome. Thanks to all the friendly staff who made our stay memorable. They were beyond helpful. There is such a special relaxed atmosphere and we loved everyone second of it. We were travelling with our kids aged 3, 5 and 9 as well as my mother in law and we all enjoyed it. We spend four nights here, and one day it was raining all day and we still enjoyed every bit of. Wonderful, spacious hang-out areas, great selection of books and games. And I will really recommend everyone to take a walk around the lake. A special thanks to the owner Anne, who is really making an effort in contributing to the community and village. We love you vision of leadership and we really hope to come back one day. Thanks 🙏

A very beautiful place — the room was clean, modern, and equipped with everything we needed. There was a lovely garden all around, a natural water reservoir nearby, and a wonderful restaurant. Breakfast was delicious and served in the restaurant in a charming setting. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful; he welcomed us with coffee upon arrival and showed us all the local attractions. I highly recommend this place!
