This is one of the best places i have ever stayed. The location is very close to the volcanoes national park center, the house is beautiful and well structured, the caretaker is amazing and even the possibility to order (super tasty) dinner from the main hotel is a great add-on. Of course, all of this is topped by the fact that staying here means you support a very nice organisation, which is doing a remarkable job. This is one of my most straight-forward recommendations, there is no way i am back in Rwanda and don’t visit it.

We were welcomed to the Sambora Lodge by an unbelievably warm and helpful staff who attended to our every need. Our cottage was perfect, with a roaring fire to welcome us after a delicious meal prepared by a talented chef who uses local, fresh ingredients to make wholesome gourmet meals accompanied by a selection of fine wines. The planned activities from which to choose are world class – top of the list is Gorilla trekking, which was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We had the opportunity to canoe on pristine lakes, visit community groups working with artisans and really experience life in Rwanda’s northern region. The Diane Fossey Campus is literally right around the corner and well worth the visit. We were made to feel at home in this top-notch facility, with our every need catered to – massages in room, fresh local flowers from the luscious gardens, and the best turn-down service ever. But truly the Sambora family made the stay extra special for us.

I with my lover booked our trip to Rwanda through Volcanoes Over View Safaris, This Safaris company is awesome we told the Manager that we want to stay around the location near by gorilla natural habitat and he told us that we are in right direction to be in contact with him and he directed us to their booking.com platform and we booked a room in the guest house owned by the Safaris company , and staying in hotel where by you have a tour guiding team near by you as well as your tour operator make your stay comfortable for sure ! We visited Mountain Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park, we hiked Mountain Bisoke and we also went in a village to do culture based Tour , And the experience in all at all is exceptional , Big congratulations be to Safaris company & guest house Manager Michael and the team , appreciations be to Pascal , Olvier , Jean Damour , Alphonsine , Chalom , Augustine and all the team and we can't wait to thank Booking.com team for rapid reply !
