A beautiful spacious villa surrounded by nature: it is near a spectacular lake and rice fields. It is within a walking distance from Sigiriya and Pidurangala: we went there by foot. Our room was really large, fresh and clean equipped with air conditioning. It has a big bathroom with hot water and toiletries. The pool is big and clean, we used it every day. There are sun loungers as well. The house also has a playground with chess, table tennis and badminton. The breakfast was enormous 😀 and really tasty with fresh fruits and local goodies. They also served something new every day. Special thanks to the hosts Kasun and Pathum, they really made our stay there enjoyable. They helped us organize an elephant safari and a transfer to another city, advised on non-tourist attractions, and even delivered food from nearby restaurants free of charge. I would definitely recommend staying in Bungalow Resort for a pleasant vacation

Gammaduwa Heritage Bungalow and Tea Gardens ligger i Matale, 50 km fra Kandy City Centre, og har gratis cykler, en have og et fælles opholdsområde samt gratis privat parkering. En unik oplevelse for vores familie. Dave var en perfekte vært og gav os mange gode historier om området og husets fortid. Han gav os gode anbefalinger til ture. Dave var meget hjælpsom og arrangerede vores videre rejse. En helt særlig oplevelse du sjældent får og kan varmt anbefales til familier med børn.

Here the time stopped 100y ago! They keep as much as possible originally, yes for sure not new and some comfort is missing, but I prefer it like this! Outstanding! Would go to stay again! Anytime

We stayed at Gaia Lake Bungalows for one week and had an excellent time. You can rent the whole villa and enjoy a really unique private experience in this central region of Sri Lanka. The villa is located directly at the beautiful Kandalama Lake (with a stunning view on the lake) and is certainly one of the best locations you can choose for exploration of the cultural triangle between Polonaruwa, Anuradhapura, Kandy and Dambulla, including Sigiriya. Sarath, the private cook will introduce you to the various flavours of traditional Sri Lankan food and Darshi the manager kindly supports any kind of arrangements you may need. We booked the entire villa for only 3 persons but there is plenty of room for 6 persons or even more. Moreover a large swimming pool is available for exercise or relaxation after excursions. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Denne bungalow fra 1930'erne ligger på en 98 hektar stor teplantage ved foden af Knuckles-bjergkæden. I will carry this magical place in my memories for my whole life. Extremely stylish tea estate that seems suspended in time and space.. me and my girlfriend just couldn’t stop taking pictures with our camera all around the property! They have a breathtaking veranda where you can enjoy your meals, especially the dinner at sunsets.. a charming swimming pool, marvelous rooms and a private waterfall!! Amila, the manager is one of the nicest and most professional persons I have the privilege to met during my time in Sri Lanka took very good care of us and I recommend not to miss the tea plantation tour and tea tasting with Mr. Das, the historic memory of this beautiful place. What else to add? Two nights weren’t enough but that’s a good reason to go back!
