Jansen’s Bungalow Sinharaja Rainforest Retreat heeft een tuin, een terras, een restaurant en een bar in Kudawe. Wow. Absolutely blown away. Upon arrival we just looked at each other in disbelief! The gardens and grounds have many different pathways and areas to explore, with stunning views from every angle. Completely surrounded by nature, we watched monkeys, birds, squirrels etc play in the trees. Photos do not do this place justice- the landscape is too vast to fit into a photo! Even though they don’t currently advertise as catering for vegans, we were very well taken care of and they adapted the menu to accommodate many sensational meals. The workers are so friendly and always took care of us. They also gave us a free Tuk Tuk ride to/from the rainforest for a hike, and also a ride to the local waterfall (which is nicer to walk back from but the offer was there for a lift back). Felt very rejuvenated recovering from jet lag here at the beginning of our trip- didn’t realise till we left and went to other locations just how relaxed and easy we were there!

Silent Bungalow is in the most beautiful locations, the rooms are lovely and so comfortable with amazing beds and sweet chairs outside to listen to all the birds and nature sounds. But most of all we loved our hosts, Sudath and his family - Sudath organised and took us on a brilliant safari, where we saw so many elephants and beautiful wildlife, before we came back to an amazing spread for dinner! It was my favourite meal of the trip and was absolutely delicious. We had a great sleep in huge comfy beds with mosquito nets and a shower with great water pressure. We were sad to leave after an amazing, fun and relaxing time and a yummy breakfast - another generous spread and very tasty. This is experience was worth more than the price, it was wonderful. Big House Udawalawe heeft een buitenzwembad, een tuin, een terras en een bar in Udawalawe. Madu en al het personeel waren geweldig!!! Wat een warm welkom! We zijn enorm in de watten gelegd met goed eten, zelfs een kookcursus, tips voor de omgeving en vooral oneindig veel liefde. Een geweldige tijd!!
