Everything is beautifully decorated, and you truly feel like you’re in paradise. The host was extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful. You can tell he’s not doing this for the money, but because he genuinely enjoys meeting people. It’s easy to have great conversations with him – he has so many interesting stories to share. And the food … simply perfect! 😋 It was honestly the best meal we’ve had on our trip.

He also had bicycles available for rent. The kitchen has everything you need to make your meals. Just remember this is an off grid situation with mosquito nets on the beds and it will exceed your expectations. The jungle is so beautiful. It’s really lovely and dark at night.

For a holiday it is a bit back to basic, with a natural shower and a "dry toilet". But the feeling of being so off the grid and in the jungle, and sleeping with the sounds of the jungle make up for it. The house has a tiny pool overlooking the fields, a hammock, a bench, and a table so you can relax all day. Victor has a beautiful view on living with nature and preserving corn varieties. He built a lovely place with a lovely homey vibe, where he serves delicious food. Often made with homegrown fruit and vegetables. Definitely recommended if you want 'something different' on your Yucatan/Mexico holiday.

Skycamp Camping Holbox ligger 2 minutters gang fra Playa Holbox Strand og tilbyder indkvartering med balkon og gratis wi-fi. The owners welcomed me with open arms and were exceptionally nice. It’s more of a glamping experience since the tents all have mattresses, plugins and light. You also have a kitchen for common use, space in the fridge and boxes to store your stuff. The camp is located in a more quiet area, quite close to Coco beach and about a 15min walk along the beach from the center. I highly recommend staying here if you want a family like atmosphere in a relaxed area.
