The cabin was in a perfect location for accessing the lake district and the local area is also well worth a visit (Grange over Sands and Cartmel). The addition of the barbeque and jacuzzi added to a greater enjoyment of the lodge when not sightseeing.

The whole building was lovely inside and out. It had a really homely feel and was very cosy especially perfect for a cold November night! Breakfast was lovely and served fast. I enjoyed the self check in aspect and the rooms were perfect. We had a lovely view and everything we needed. Perfect location for pubs and the train station was right next door.

We had such a wonderful stay at this lodge! The place is very cozy, spotless, and clearly well cared for. Since it’s run directly by the owners, the service feels personal and truly superb. The location is excellent—just a few minutes’ walk to both Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere town, making it very convenient. One thing that really stood out was the thoughtful touches: complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and cookies, all refilled daily—something you don’t usually get at hotels. We booked this for our advance wedding anniversary and were greeted with a sweet little surprise, which made our stay extra special. We only paid a small amount for an additional chocolate treat, which was absolutely worth it. Breakfast was also fantastic, with plenty of options to choose from. You can really feel the love and care Rich and Ada put into running their lodge—it makes all the difference. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Lake District!

We absolutely adored our stay in Lingwood Lodge! Our hosts were exceptional, going to the effort of advising hiking routes to take to make sure we had the best experience. The room itself was very spacious, we were 3 adult women and really enjoyed ourselves. Very easy to walk into the village and parking was perfect. Would recommend to anyone.
