This area has so much to see and Bissa Villa was an excellent place to come back to each afternoon for a swim and a delicious meal after a busy day of site seeing. We also enjoyed the rural aspect of this slightly out of town location. The hosts were extremely friendly & helpful making it our favourite place to stay on our whole Sri Lankan trip.

It was s great pleasure staying with this lovely family! Our children immediately became friends and we got all possible help and more. Unfortunately I had booked another safari before and couldn't cancel it. Otherwise we would have loved to make a Safari with them. Their jeep is great, comfortable and luxurious ;-) Breakfast was very good, the room had everything needed plus a nice terrace with a hammock!

Been in Sri Lanka a month and this was the best accommodation we've had so far. Exceptionally clean and comfortable room, fantastic hosts, lovely garden, quiet location, a short walk to everything, amazing breakfast, excellent value for money. Definitely a 10 out of 10 experience. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Our stay at this beautiful cabin was by far the best accommodation we had in all of Sri Lanka — and honestly, one of the best we’ve experienced anywhere in Southeast Asia (and we’ve been to many places!). The cabin itself is absolutely stunning — everything works perfectly, it’s beautifully designed, wonderfully equipped, and feels truly luxurious. From every side you look straight into the jungle, which gives it such a magical and special atmosphere. In the garden there’s even a big rock you can climb up to watch the sunrise with breathtaking views of Lion Rock and Pidurangala Rock. The location couldn’t be better: you can easily walk to both rocks, to the town center, and to lovely cafés and restaurants nearby. But honestly, you don’t even need to leave the property — everything about it is so perfect that you’ll just want to stay there and relax. The food was without question the best of our entire trip — both breakfast and dinner were prepared with so much love and care. Dula, Ruwan and the whole family are the most wonderful hosts you could wish for. From the very first moment until the second we left, we felt genuinely welcome and taken care of. They even organized a surprise for my birthday — one of the sweetest gestures I’ve ever experienced. We would come back anytime and recommend this place from the bottom of our hearts. 💛

My stay at this hotel was simply wonderful. The family welcomed me with so much warmth from the very first moment, and they were always ready to help with anything I needed. The boys Hasitha and Dassa took me to explore the surroundings, and we went on an amazing safari where I saw many elephants and a great variety of birds. We also visited Polonnaruwa and Dambulla, which was an unforgettable experience. They truly did everything to make my visit perfect, even under the rain. They made me feel at home. I 100% recommend this place.. the location, the activities, and above all, the people are the best. Thank you so much for everything; I will always remember you 🫰🏼
