We recently stayed at a tented lodge for a safari night, and it was truly an unforgettable experience for the whole family. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and taken care of. The tents were beautifully set up, blending comfort with the authentic charm of being right in the heart of nature. Falling asleep to the sounds of the wild was both thrilling and peaceful. The highlight for us was the safari itself—our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, making every sighting special. We were lucky enough to spot a variety of wildlife, and the kids couldn’t stop smiling the entire time. The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every meal felt like a treat, and it exceeded all of our expectations. Sharing stories around the fire after dinner made the evening even more memorable. Overall, this experience was everything we hoped for and more. Our family left with full hearts, happy memories, and a strong desire to return. Great place for a big family or group traveling together. Located close to yala national park so very convenient for going on safari. We booked a safari trip through Tree Tops, and had a great Safari with a very experienced guided. The house is clean and spacious. The staff provided us with delicious food.

I had an incredible experience at Jungle Haven Retreat! The setting deep in the Sri Lankan jungle is absolutely breathtaking. The staff was wonderfully welcoming and made us feel right at home. The houses were cozy and beautifully nestled in nature, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. One of the most unforgettable moments was the amazing dinner we had on the rock, with a fire burning beside us under the open sky—it was truly magical and unlike anything I've experienced before. The traditional Sri Lankan meals were another highlight—so flavorful and made with love. If you're looking for a unique jungle experience with warm hospitality and unforgettable moments, this place is absolutely worth it. I can’t wait to return!

We can’t emphasise just how good this place is. We loved the villa (it’s absolutely huge and packed with details), but the food was probably the best part. I’m not sure how they managed to cook up some of the best Sri Lanka and western food we have had in Sri Lanka - the chef is a genuine magician. The breakfasts were varied, and the dinner menus were crafted to our requirements with delicious sides.

We had a truly fantastic stay at Yala Leopard Lodge. Great location, close to national park entrance. Comfortable, clean rooms. Very helpful, friendly staff who really care about their guests. Excellent food. Clean and well maintained swimming pool. We highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!

The localisation in the middle of the jungle, waking up with the sound of birds and nature around, the exterior shower. I also booked a shared safari through them which was amazing! Half day would have been enough but then we would have missed the 2 leopards we luckily saw from very close in the afternoon! Food was great but a bit pricey compared to the prices practiced everywhere else in Sri Lanka. The host is very sweet, made sure everything was alright at every step of my stay there. Perfect for 2 nights or 3 if you fancy being isolated for a bit since the camp is hard to access by yourself, located off-road so you are not independant if you wanna go anywhere outside of it, but it’s part of the experience in my opinion.

Remote location in the middle of the jungle, rooms are separate little houses linked by forest paths. Loved being surrounded by all the nature, vegetarian dinner was delicious.
