The place of the Spirit of the River Lodge itself is magic. The rooms and the outline of the lodge area are embedded into nature. The rooms are tastefully furnished, and each room is different. The beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms great and. I loved the tranquility, hearing the birds, the river. There is a fireplace. It is a place to regenerate. The hosts Claudia and Rudy are wonderful persons and do everything so you have a wonderful stay. The lodge is very close to Urubamba. I absolutely recommend this place!

I couldn't wish a better landing to the Ands. The place is great, very quiet village, clean, nicely decorated and easy to get to (you can catch colective transport from Pisac comunity museum for 2 soles, you can also hire a motorbike taxi or I was happy to walk down the hill to Pisac). There is a small shop nearby to get water and food, the plae has well equipped kitchen and wifi. The host is very friendly and helpful. I was amazed how clear the night sky is at night to see the stars. Also there is a archeological site in near distance, much bigger and quieter then Machu Picchu.

The proactive care taken by the staff at Explora to organise a smooth arrival and departure, as well as the constant check-in and courtesy, the beauty of the site, the comfort of the beds, the sate room to details and room set up for the night, the spa (perfect to relax after a day adventuring), the experiences offered, the books about Peru in the lounge area, the awesome guide. The room was so cute and spacious. Bed was nice and beautifully made. The inside area is also so nice and you can use the kitchen as well. All it build in a very natural and creative way as well as Clean !! The owners are so so sweet and kind too

This is a little paradise!! We used this hotel to get used to the altitude after arriving in Cusco. It is a family run hotel with beautifull vieuws. It is best to stay at the hotel as there is not much to do in the area but enough at the property itself. We had breakfast at the balcony and in the garden, took a massage, used the jacuzzi at sunset and had a romantic dinner. Relaxed in the hammock. The food is good and the people are friendly. The bed slept great and the bathtub in the room was a bonus!
