The hosts, Illi and Johnny, were great. The food was good. The location is excellent, as you can do walks and hikes around on the island and to the other side. The beaches and water are nice. Everyone is friendly and happy. Its not a resort, its an actual homestay and a glimpse into their day to day life. It's very uplifting. No wifi, but you can charge your devices at the main house. Bring fj cash.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. We had the most amazing time staying here. The house we stayed in is beautiful, spacious, and such a great price for what you get compared to a little blue property down the road beginning with S and also better than the resort just down the road, the coast line is just amazing but here it’s better than the other places on the island we visited. It’s right on the beach, and the location honestly couldn’t be better — safe for kids, perfect swimming for little ones as the reef stays shallow for a good 20m out but then off that some of the best snorkelling on the island just steps from the door. It was even better than some of our diving trips we paid a lot for although occasionally choppier water. During our stay we saw reef sharks here, sea turtles, a million different fish and even swam with wild dolphins just from this cove — such a rare and magical experience. The water is crystal clear, and every day felt like living inside a nature documentary. Clark the owner was outstanding. He cooked a few meals with us, showed us around and up to the sunset view and walked us out to other swimming spots and reefs, and even took us out to explore and offered lifts, a kite surfing lesson and had all the snorkels, goggles and reef shoes to borrow. We also loved catching the local bus to the market which stops just outside if you flag it down. This made our stay just so much more affordable too. I was here for Tony Robbins life health wealth mastery and it was MILES better and cheaper than the accommodation recommended. I even had a juicer and smoothie maker and hired a car, this meant I saved hundreds by taking my own food in and not paying for the food supplement. This place was everything we hoped for and more. We cannot recommend it highly enough and would come back in a heartbeat. We stayed in one of the one bed ones but the three bed house at the front would suit a large family easily. There is enough to do on the island for at least a 3 week stay like we did.

Savusavu
Providing river views, Salt Lake Lodge in Savusavu provides accommodation, a garden, a private beach area, a shared lounge, a terrace and a restaurant. Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. The hosts Lilly and Simon are the most wonderful people ever. Kind souls that can make your stay here in Fiji a truly one of a kind experience. Staying at the salt lake lodge didn't feel like a hotel or resort, but instead felt like you got to experience how it would feel to live in a Fijian family. Not only were the people great but the food was extraordinary. They both could be in a Michelin star restaurant with the food they provided. We would also recommend doin LOVO with them, which is a traditional grill on an campfire of which I shared photos of. The location itself for us was also a 10/10 because we love being surrounded in nature, and what ever window you looked out from was the beautiful environment, even from the shower you could see the river. We could not recommend this place more if we wanted to. I hope your experience will be as beautiful as ours
Kuata
Ideally located for diving, Barefoot Kuata Island Resort Island offers a bar, restaurant, swimming pool and games room. Daily activities include coconut bowling, traditional dancing, live music and crab racing. Shark snorkelling was even better than the bull shark dive imo more interactive. Great corals out front of the property and hike to the summit and cave made for a two day great trip next time would book for 4 days and shark snorkel each day they were beautiful and a fun boat ride out to the reef to boot.

We loved the location and the immersion in traditional village life… slowing down and being included in their meals. The hut was super basic but suited us okay. Loved walking up hills and beaches and quietly spending days ..
From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave the staff make you feel so welcomed. On arrival, they sing to you on the beach and you get a cold apple juice. The huts you stay in are made to feel very private so that you can relax. The huts are clean and have comfortable beds, with glass doors overlooking the sea. Beautiful. The staff organise a lot of free activities and free use of snorkels and kayaks. Emosi, Grace, Sammy, Dani and Nemo all stood out to us for making our stay even more special.
Beach and set up stunning. Hammocks to lay around in between swaying palm trees. They have a cute hut set up for all your water sports. Excellent snorking and kayaking out front. Staff gorgeous.
The host welcomed us into her family, we really like the interactions we had with all the family freinds. The food was really fresh and tasty, we had some fancy crabs for one night. It's a very beautiful hut right in front of the beautiful ocean, we would consider come back sometime in the future.
Location and lay-out of the resort are so quiet and relaxing. The entire bay is super shallow, so great for kids. The food was exceptional, still dreaming of the muffins, salads and desserts. The huts have a good size and little kitchenette and you get two bottles of water a day. Best thing was the deep water snorkelling, the reef was incredible, highly recommend! Friendly staff and a supermarket on site, which was so handy. NYE fireworks were really good!
The little hut was super cute and we loved the outdoor shower. Also loved the adult only pool and view from there and snorkelling and kayaking on the beach.
The little hut on the beach was cute but very primitive with not even a stick inside to hang clothes over. We met some other travellers who were lovely.
We loved our trip to Tokoriki. The Fijian greeting when we arrived was great, and our room was ready. I really recommend the breakfast included option. The food was delicious and kept us going all day. The view from the restaurant was amazing. The staff are really friendly. We loved the beach huts and the free jet ski rides out to the reef for snorkeling. There are lots of options for dinner including the Fijian feast and BBQ night (although quite pricey). There are activities every day which you can do like making raw fish salad.
The location is lovely and the beach huts are great. Staff is really welcoming and available.
