The fireplace was excellent and supplies were given to light it. It was really conveniently located both for seeing the reindeer, and also for travelling into Cirencester for the Christmas market.

As the owner notes, it isn’t a “hotel-neutral” stay—it’s a true home. My friend and I came for a few days to completely switch off and it delivered: tranquil, scenic, and blissfully quiet. The lodge is welcoming and thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need. It’s not modern or ultra-contemporary, but that’s part of its charm. We loved our stay and hope to return early next year.
