The owners left us some yummy food and milk which was a surprise. The bed was very comfortable and quiet even during a wild storm.

The kitchen had all the necessary equipment for cooking our own meals. There was a generous basket with breakfast items, chips, cookies and milk, juice and cheese in the frig. The bathroom was large and well appointed for seniors/handicapped (although we didn't need this). The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable (if you like a semi-firm). The windows open for fresh air at night. There was plenty of room to hang/put away clothes. There were books and publications with regional information. We had a wonderful stay!

If you have 1-2 people and 3-5 days touring Orkney, then Lilley's Lodges are the place to stay. They are strategically located to get to anywhere on Orkney in 20-30 minutes by car. We had a very pleasant and comfortable time there. Quiet and in the country and really just a nice place with a nice country view. We totally recommend the Hedgehog!!
