Barefoot Luxury at the Tip of Borneo bevindt zich in Kudat in de regio Sabah, dicht bij Strand van Bawang Jamal. De accommodatie biedt gratis privéparkeren. This was a one bedroom lodge with its own deck overlooking the jungle and beach. It was rustic but v well appointed - we loved the geckos in the roof, and watching fireflies at night. Hibiscus beach is beautiful and a 10 min walk away is a fantastic cafe where you can eat in the beach and watch the sun set.

Zara Lodge is gelegen in Bario. Dit landhuis is gehuisvest in een gebouw uit 2020 en biedt gratis privéparkeren. Dit landhuis is voorzien van een volledig uitgeruste keuken, een eethoek en een tv. Really good food!!! :D The owner and staff are amazing! They were very lovely and even made us homemade donuts on the house!! The lodge is very spacious and comfy! We also rented a motorbike which was in very good condition. Absolutely recommend the place! 11/10 :D !!!

Located in Mantanani Island, GreenHouse Lodge provides accommodation with access to a garden. The property boasts reusable plastic materials, using energy-saving lighting and conserving rainwater. Geweldig verblijf gehad op een prachtige locatie. Heerlijk rustig. De eigenaren zijn super aardig en behulpzaam. Wat hebben we hier ook heerlijk gegeten.

The Last Frontier Boutique Resort bevindt zich in Bilit, bovenop een heuvel van 100 meter hoog met uitzicht op het bosreservaat Kinabatangan. I cannot rate this place highly enough. Firstly the staff were the nicest bunch of people, who genuinely care that the guests have a great trip, and are passionate about the environment and the wildlife. Secondly, this is the only place in the area actually inside the jungle, rather than on the river. And that matters because you're much more likely to see an Orang utan in the wild staying here. We were lucky enough to see one, and the guys running the place were overjoyed for us. It was a truly breathtaking moment. And we saw monitor lizards and Hornbills causally wandering/ flying around. The guys running the place could not do enough for us. Also the food was great, and included. Travel is quite a hobby for me, I have been travelling the world regularly for over 30 years now and I have stayed in a lot of places, from luxury hotels to eco-resorts etc. This rates as high as any experience I have had anywhere. I wish there were more places run this well and with this much passion in the world.

Borneo Jungle Adventure bevindt zich in Kinabatangan in de regio Sabah en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. For the middle of the jungle, they have a great setup for all you need. The meals were fantastic and the staff super friendly. We were so lucky to see the Borneo 5 and the highlight was some orangutans and a herd of 50+ Pygmy Elephants. A wonderful trip. Mark our tour guide was fantastic.
