It's very easy to get to via shared car aka colectivo. Some Spanish would definitely help, but with a sense of aventure and Google translate, you'd be fine!

Excellent stay, felt safe the entire time including the included transportation from the airport and back. Highly recommend Jacamar if you want to truly experience the Amazon of Peru.

The Amazon Muyuna Lodge is an ecolodge in the Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Communal Reserve , situated on the Amazon River shore, 3 hours from the centre of Iquitos. The location was amazing. Great to have so much wildlife around you. Meandering down the Amazon river each day was so relaxing and peaceful. Loved spotting all the sloths, monkeys and various birds from the boat and also when we did a trail in the jungle. Seeing an ant eater up close climbing a tree was a highlight as well as the pink dolphins. Our guide , Larissa was excellent.

Everything, the lodge is in the Amazon. The food is excellent, the staff are amazing. It’s clean, the pool was great. Surroundings and to sit in the garden looking at the Amazon river watching the dolphins you couldn’t ask for more. Also the excursions laid on were out of an adventure novel.

Alfredo, Leo and Carlos were all amazing as well as the rest of the staff! I was sick for 1 of the days there, and Alfredo went over and above to make sure I was okay! I can't say enough good things about the food. The rooms were lovely, and the excursions exceeded my expectations. Even without having fans, we stayed cool at night. My partner was worried that the night hikes didn't go enough into the jungle, but you could see everything from the resort ground, which is quite big. It definitely felt like a luxury resort by the way they cared for you. Thank you again to everyone at amak.
