The location is wonderful, quiet and absolutely relaxing. The bungalow where we stayed did not have all the comforts like an hotel room, but we knew what we were doing when we booked here, we wanted to be immerse in the nature and that was exactly what we got, we even had the pleasure to see a little monkey on our balcony one day. All the people working at Evergreen are super polite and available, the way the treated us was unbelievable, it will be very hard to forget them. The beach in front of Evergreen is not crowded like Paje, and on top of that there are very few beach boys, one day we went in Paje and regretted it because we were stopped every 2 minutes by people trying to sell you something, so we decided to come back at Evergreen. Another crazy thing is the food, litterally everything was delicious, and we tried almost the entire menu during our stay. Also we cannot fail to mention Alawi, he will be your point of reference for every tour around the island, we did many tours thanks to him, and he was so sweet to give us gifts the day we left, so we really cannot forget him, and also Yusuf (our driver) which we fell in love with. This place really left something in our heart and in our memories. If we’d ever come back to Zanzibar this is the only place where we’d want to stay. A huge thank you goes also to Claudia and Mustafa, they did a wonderful job at Evergreen you can fell their love for this place, and on top of that they were very helpful. It is impossibile to not drop some tears the day you leave.

I had such a fantastic experience staying at Paje Emerald Escapes! The villas are absolutely beautiful—peaceful, well-designed, and a true slice of paradise. But what truly made the stay unforgettable was the incredible staff. A huge thank you to Leslie, who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. From arranging airport transfers to organizing tuk-tuk shuttles, she was constantly helpful, professional, and incredibly sweet. Her kindness really made me feel at home. I’d also love to give a special shoutout to Salim for helping me out when a few geckos made their way into the villa. He came over right away, was extremely helpful, and so kind throughout. I would absolutely stay here again—not just for the stunning villas, but because the people here genuinely care. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Paje!

MONKEY MOUNTAIN LODGE ligger i Mtende og har havudsigt, restaurant, bagageopbevaring, bar, have og terrasse. Lodgen har både gratis wi-fi og privat parkering. Beautifully built rustic lodge in the middle of a green bush forest with many majestic baobab trees. The monkeys are a little shy but very active in the late afternoon, visiting with us on the main terrace... Absolutely non threatening, just interested. We were lucky enough to see a bush baby who had come to find its dinner just as we were talking about our precious bush baby we had raised ourselves.... Such a wonderful surprise. The bar was well stocked and the food stunning.... Excellent chef who understands seafood. Overall we loved our 2 nights at monkey mountain.... Exactly what we were hoping for.

We stayed at the best place in Kizimkazi village! Yasmin was amazing – she took care of everything for us, from organizing tours to making sure we didn’t miss the whales. It’s definitely worth asking her about anything you need. The house is cozy and pampering. In the mornings, we ordered delicious breakfast from Yasmin’s restaurant. We felt completely safe – there’s a guard on-site 24/7. The house is surrounded by forest, and the moment you enter the path leading to it, it feels like stepping into a fairytale. No doubt we’ll be coming back at the end of our trip. Thanks to the whole team – and big thanks to Mama Yasmin!

Very nice place to stay. Hosts are really friendly, polite and always there for help. Breakfast was delicious.

Den afslappede og hyggelige stemning. Personalet var søde, imødekommende og hjælpsomme. Det var fantastisk for os som familie at bo på Demani.

Blue Reef Sport & Fishing Lodge and Bungalows, som ligger i Jambiani, har en restaurant og tilbyder WiFi. I had an incredible stay at Blue Reef! The location is perfect, right by the beach, and the gym area was fantastic, allowing me to get some great workouts in during my stay. The staff and owners were incredibly welcoming and offered excellent recommendations for tours and activities. I also felt completely safe throughout my visit, which meant a lot as a solo female traveler. The food was absolutely delicious, and they were happy to accommodate specific dietary needs. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this place enough and would definitely come back!

Fantastic accommodation for people looking to explore Jozani forest on a budget. The tent is very spacious and clean, and surrounded by wildlife. The shower area was very clean and hot water is available, plus basic toiletries. If you are used to camping it is a brilliant stay. Maryam and the hosts were incredibly helpful, with taxis, hot water for tea, extra towels etc. All the food was very tasty
